Surrounded by over 25 acres of gardens and parkland, this historic venue offers an intimate and timeless backdrop for your celebration. The long driveway leads guests through tranquil greenery, arriving at the exclusive setting of three adjoining halls, each with a delightful courtyard.

Ceremony

Civil ceremonies at Ramster Hall take place in the elegant Great Drawing Room. This welcoming room provides a versatile setting, featuring a grand piano and a stately fireplace, perfect for ceremonies of varying sizes. Should the weather keep you indoors, the room also serves as an inviting space for reception drinks following church or civil services. Throughout the day, it can transform into a quiet retreat during the evening’s celebrations.

The beautiful Brick Hall, next door, provides an alternative entrance to the wedding ceremony from the courtyard. There is a permanent display of paintings by Paul Gunn, which are always of interest, and an impressive collection of Japanese Samurai warriors, swords, and shields.

Reception

The grand Long Hall is the heart of Ramster Hall’s receptions. Originally built in 1604, this magnificent room stretches over 100 feet in length, creating an atmospheric space for your wedding breakfast and evening celebrations. Subtle fairy lights add a soft glow, while a hidden dance floor invites guests to dance the night away.

For outdoor gatherings, the courtyard garden offers an idyllic spot for drinks and canapés, surrounded by the character and charm of the three halls.

Ramster Hall is set in the picturesque Surrey Hills and has many delightful pubs and hotels in close proximity that offer guest accommodation, including in the picture-perfect village of Chiddingfold, just a couple of minutes down the road.

Getting There

Ramster Hall is just 1.5 miles from Chiddingfold on the A283, making it easily accessible from nearby towns and cities.
The venue is approximately an hour from South West London and is well connected to Guildford, Haslemere, Godalming, Farnham, Cranleigh, and Petworth.
For those arriving by train, the nearest station is Haslemere, with regular services to and from London Waterloo.

As you know we completely fell in love with it when we first saw it almost two years ago now, and we were definitely getting emotional as we walked around it one last time after cleaning up on Sunday. The ceremonies were beautiful, and a huge part of that is the unique impact of Ramster. It really is a one-of-a-kind venue that will always have a special place in our hearts. We can’t wait to come back to the gardens later this year!

We would also like to personally thank you for all you did to make the day run smoothly for us. You have been so accommodating from the start, in particular our requests to have the fire for the Indian ceremony and confetti, too. The Hindu ceremony was the highlight for many of our guests and will forever be a source of fond memories for us and our families. We will certainly share the photos with you once we have them.
