Nestled in a secluded South Hams valley near Totnes, The Lost Music Hall calls to modern romantics. With its ochre façade laced in ivy and Italianate terraces, this architectural venue is an idyllic backdrop for wedding photographs. It’s also surrounded by fragrant gardens , ancient trees, views of the winding Ambrook River, and plenty of hidden corners that guests can explore. Inside, expect grand proportions and Arts and Crafts character, with ample space for up to 12 guests to stay.
Civil and humanist ceremonies can be held on site in the grand music room, a light-filled space with oak parquet flooring, doric columns, expansive ceilings and turn of the 20th century style. Traditionalists might prefer a local church ceremony, before returning for the reception. Couples will also have access to the Edenic grounds and may choose instead to exchange vows in the orchard or walled garden
Grand occasion or intimate elopement, this sumptuous country manor house offers a bespoke experience tailored to each unique vision. The manor itself seats up to 100 guests and features an underground cellar club for cocktail-induced dancing until midnight. There’s also the option to hire the owner’s neighbouring property, The Lost Manor House, for additional room at an extra fee. Alternatively, the reception could be held in a marquee in the meadow, complete with a festival-style food van.
There is something so special about The Lost Music Hall. I can’t explain how beautiful it is, not only for a getaway but to host a wedding that our guests and we will never forget. The hosts are incredible and went so far above and beyond our expectations. I truly can’t think of enough nice words to say about them or their home.

Two weeks after the event, we are still overjoyed by our summer wedding at The Lost Music Hall. The extraordinary venue and its rural setting enabled us to plan a wedding that took our guests on a journey through the Devon countryside, through an elegant mid-century Music Hall, to a characterful cellar for late-night dancing.

Our wedding at The Lost Music Hall was the most magical thing we have ever experienced. From the moment we first visited, we fell in love with everything about it. It´s such a special hidden slice of Devon, and every corner of it is beautiful. All of the guests commented on how they felt they had been transported to Italy! The owners were so helpful from the lead up to the wedding, to on the day – they went over and beyond to ensure everything ran so smoothly, we can´t thank them enough for all the effort and support they gave us. So many of our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been to and we truly think that the venue was the main reason for this, it was the most perfect setting for the best day of our lives!
