The Vibe
If you are looking for an exquisite venue in an exceptionally stunning part of the UK, then you are perfectly matched to Tissington Hall.
Tissington Hall is the prominent feature of the quintessential Derbyshire village of Tissington. A rural, unspoilt beauty spot – it is peppered with lime trees, pretty cottages, a duck pond, and five wells.
Many couples choose Tissington Hall to host their wedding because of their love of the village and its stunning surroundings. A beautiful mix of enchanting history – with a twist of modern refinement – originally built by Francis FitzHerbert, this historical home has been in the FitzHerbert family for over 400 years. They feel privileged to share it with you on your wedding day.
Your Ceremony
The Main Hall is licenced to hold civil marriages and partnerships (90), as is the East Drawing Room (50), which overlooks the beautiful parkland. Alternatively, if sunny skies allow, you can hold your service on their exquisite Terrace Arcade (120).
If you would like a religious wedding ceremony, the Grade II listed church of St Mary’s is a stone’s throw away from Tissington Hall. This 12th-century place of worship is simply delightful – and steeped in fascinating Norman history. After your church service, it is just a five-minute stroll back to Tissington Hall to celebrate your special day.
Marquee Weddings
Whether you hold your ceremony here or across the parkland at St Mary’s, this venue offers the perfect reception locations. From April to October, the custom semi-permanent marquee on site has been specifically designed to house a fabulous celebration in the gardens. The Arboretum Pavilion marquee offers gorgeous panoramic views across the parkland. It is finished to the highest standard with a stunning crystal chandelier and starlit ceiling, which produce a relaxed, romantic atmosphere.
The Pavilion can accommodate up to 150 guests for Wedding Breakfast, and they have two exclusive caterers. Upper Crust Caterers and The Red Olive create bespoke menus with outstanding food with ingredients of the highest standard.
Intimate Weddings
For more intimate weddings over the winter months, they are delighted to introduce their recently renovated 18th-century Carriage House, which has been sympathetically restored, retaining many of its original features. They can accommodate up to 60 people for your wedding breakfast and reception.
Their welcoming, professional team has over 15 years of experience planning and hosting weddings and will use this expertise to ensure your day is perfect.
A stunning venue with fantastic photo opportunities, Tissington Hall is a perfect location for a memorable day.
