The Setting
The Old Vicarage is a multi-award winning family run business. Passionate about making each wedding individual, and valuing the uniqueness, intimacy and exclusivity that their beautiful building offers.
This boutique hotel wedding venue is set in the heart of the historic town of Southwell, Nottinghamshire. Southwell is located 20 minutes from Nottingham, Mansfield and Newark making it very accessible by car, train and bus!
The Vibe
Formerly a Vicarage, this beautiful building was linked to the local Holy Trinity Church between 1847 – 1946, when it was then sold to the Nottingham County Council who subsequently opened its doors to guests as an old people’s home and respite care. Sadly for the local community this was closed in 1999 and the once beautiful building unfortunately stood empty for several years, before being extensively refurbished in 2005.
The Old Vicarage opened as a hotel in May 2009, bringing Southwell’s first unique hotel and fine dining experience, taking comfort and personal service to new heights. Over the last years they have received astounding reviews and awards for their guest accommodation and intimate weddings, which they hold onsite. The Old Vicarage is now recognised as one of the most exclusive wedding venues in the Midlands including one rosette for the restaurant.
Offering eight beautiful and individually styled bedrooms, The Vicarage offers pure luxury. Each aspect of their events are managed by the wonderful Vicarage team whereby they attempt to ensure every detail is taken care of without fail, which includes a full personalised wedding plan. Detail is The Old Vicarage’s key to success!
