What a fabulous first week for the Coco Blog! Thank you so much for the lovely comments, shares, likes and support for our new venture.
If you’ve just discovered us then it’s probably best you start here and read a little about The Coco Story and our mission to change the beginnings of your wedding journey. Just a small challenge I’ve taken on! *ahem*.
This week I also introduced our very first Coco Style Category in the form of my inspiration post for Bohemian Beats. Gosh I do love this style and if I could go back and do it all again I would certainly be taking some of my own advice! Sexy as hell. If that’s what you want from your wedding that is…
So each Saturday I’ll be doing a little round up of the week called Coco Collection… It will include a recap of the week’s posts and maybe some snippets of what I’ve been up to in Coco HQ. But most importantly I want to use this time to introduce our wedding venues, because after all that is what we’re all here for…
So without further ado let’s start off with this gorgeous lot…
elmore court
Oh Elmore Court… How you have stolen my heart.
It really, truly has folks. Just look at the divine images below and you will see why I’m smitten with this venue, a swoon-worthy mixture of Classic Elegance and Modern Vintage.
Elmore Court is the new kid on the wedding venue block but let me tell you right now this is the one to watch! It is causing quite the stir in the wedding world and it’s just opened its doors to Bride and Grooms-to-be.

Elmore Court is a stunning and welcoming private home in Gloucestershire with views over the Cotswolds and the River Severn. The house belongs to the Guise family who have been living on the Elmore Estate since 1262. The history of the house is one of music, good food and events, particularly around festivals, and so the family decided to continue these traditions by catering for the greatest celebration of all… Weddings!
Every wedding at Elmore Court is beautiful and unique, the house and handsome gardens will be exclusively yours to take your vows in front of friends and family and there’s a real chance to capture those moments in some truly wonderful photo opportunities. Then you will skip across to The Gillyflower for dinner and dancing, sustainably built from the earth and beautiful timber on the estate… How magical does that sound? The answer is yes, very.
You can read a bit more about the Elmore Court Launch Party shindig here. It was pretty darn fabulous!
Speaking of parties… If you fancy visiting Elmore Court then on Sunday 15th December the venue will be holding a warm and festive gathering of locals and fellow future Brides and Grooms! Through an unconventional twist on the Wedding Fayre the lovely crew at Elmore Court will be able to showcase what they do best…
The venues creative and talented suppliers will be present to meet with you and discuss your requirements and desires for your wedding day. Local craftsman and artisans will also be selling their wares for last minute Christmas gifts, stocking fillers and treats! Mulled wine and cider and delicious hot cocktails will be lubricating the proceedings and tasty local foods will provide the fuel. Merry troubadours will ensure everyone is entertained and Father Christmas might even show up!
Trust me… This lot know how to throw a party so this is one event not to be missed.
fazeley studios
This venue is achingly cool. I love it. Fact.
Fazeley Studios is without doubt a City Chic venue with a touch of Modern Vintage and here are the reasons why you should be checking this one out if you’re looking for a unique feel to your day…
Fazeley Studios is located in Digbeth, the heart of the Creative Quarter in Birmingham. The venue is comprised of a collection of lovingly restored Victorian buildings – from a restored 19th century chapel through to a beautifully landscaped courtyard, the spaces within Fazeley Studios create a relaxed, romantic atmosphere for you and your guests to enjoy.

The interiors are stunning and really do have the wow factor, floor to ceiling windows, lime stone flooring and antique furniture adding character and warmth.
Fazeley Studios is exclusively yours for your big day with the experienced team on hand to create a truly memorable wedding day that is tailored to each couple.
Can I also just add at this point the amazing photo opportunities at this venue? I want to pose with my loved one in front of the infamous blue door. And maybe the robot. Yes, yes the robot too!
So if you’re all things urban and edgy with a love of vintage thrown in then you’ll just love Fazeley Studios and the surrounding locale.
Ummm… Did I mention this venue was cool?
Oh and PS… This weekend Fazeley Studios is throwing open its aforementioned blue doors for the Eclectic Wedding Extravaganza. This is a great event for the Bride and Groom who’s looking for something a little bit different for their day. Here you will get to meet and mix with some unique wedding suppliers. If you fancy going this Sunday then head on over to their website for more details.
almonry barn
If you’re more a Rustic Romance kind of boy and girl then look no further than the beautifully stylish Almonry Barn, set in picturesque Somerset surroundings.
Almonry Barn retains plenty of historical soul but offers a modern twist, rustic elegance and striking architectural design throughout. The Barn is a Scheduled Ancient Monument (the same historical league as Stonehenge) and has been standing for over 800 years. It is also believed to be the oldest wedding barn in England, and was once part of a beautiful abbey – the ruins of which still stand opposite. (I do love a historical fact).
Almonry Barn is a family run business so the service is second to none – they pride themselves on their personal approach, no corporate jargon here folks!
The photos below of this gorgeous venue just make me want to get in the car and drive the three hours to the West Country right now.

The Barn is also renowned for the stunning canopy of fairy lights that adorn the Main Historic Barn which is where the wedding reception is held. I believe every meal should be eaten under a sky of twinkly lights don’t you?
This venue offers the expertise advice and hands-on service of the fabulous Louise, Almonry Barn’s in-house wedding co-ordinator and stylist. Louise specialises in wedding styling and she will be able to assist you every step of the way to help you create a day that will truly LOOK amazing and like it’s right out of a bridal magazine!
Almonry Barn really is the perfect venue for the country-loving Bride and Groom who still require a dash of style. If you do decide to get married at Almonry Barn can I have an invite…? Please…?
next week…
So there’s plenty more to come people! Oh yes. Next week I’ll be introducing our next two Coco Style Categories… Coastal Cool and City Chic. Oh and there’ll be more Coco wedding venue action too!
Have a gorgeous weekend folks, especially to those Brides and Grooms planning… Enjoy. It’s such a special time!
Lots of love…
