We know we have a healthy number of planners and photographers who use this platform for their own clients, so this additional feature is aimed at the wedding industry. As a wedding supplier, it is so important to learn from others in the wedding industry, to be inspired by other creatives and to also take time out just for you, especially before the crazy busy wedding season starts. This is why Amy, creative director and stylist of The Timeless Stylist, and Hannah of Hannah Duffy Photography, got together to form the idea of creating a retreat for wedding suppliers, specifically those wishing to gain knowledge of the beautiful fine art style. Together with Brigitte of Moss & Stone Floral Design, they have created Spring Love: A Fine Art Wedding Retreat.
The Retreat will be taking place at Boconnoc, a stunning country house in Cornwall, over 26th – 28th March 2019. Places for the retreat are limited to create a bespoke and intimate few days. Amy says…
“Spring Love is the first of many retreats and workshops that we hope to run for wedding suppliers. It has been designed with the soul intention of bringing together like-minded suppliers to learn, be inspired and to relax. Whilst a lot of workshops have a heavy focus on the learning, we wanted to add the retreat element and be sure to have some down-time planned for the attendees, sumptuous fine-dining meals where our guests feel spoilt, and to finish the retreat with a calming yoga session.
The venue we chose for the retreat was key, it had to be somewhere breath-taking and light, and it had to be somewhere with beautiful bedrooms for our guests to relax in. Boconnoc in Cornwall was our no.1 choice and we are thrilled they are part of the retreat. Boconnoc is a luxury exclusive wedding venue with absolutely stunning grounds and there is even a church onsite. The building itself is stunning, and pristine after 12-years refurbishment, and is set in one of the most beautiful parts of the world. Just perfect to set the tone for the retreat.
We have a wonderful three days planned for our guests which includes a talk from Sara Russell, editor and founder of Wedding Sparrow, on branding, getting published, networking and social media, as well as hearing from the three of us on our expert skills (design & styling, photography and floristry). Day two is styled shoot day. Amy will be designing two styled shoots – one more informal, elopement style, and one more formal wedding style, and she will talk to you about the process she took to design them and how she brings all of the elements together for shoots. She will show you her styling secrets and tips, and this will all be captured by Hannah, who will be talking all things photography along the way. Day three will include a fun posy-making session with our resident florist – Brigitte, who will also be designing and creating all florals throughout the retreat – and will finish with a gentle yoga session. On top of all this, all guests will have their own luxury room, a welcome gift box, learning materials and fine-dining three-course meals with wine.”
Fundamentally Amy, Hannah and Brigitte believe that when like-minded wedding suppliers come together, magic can be created. They are happily welcoming all types of wedding suppliers to the retreat, however it is more aimed at photographers, planners and stylists wishing to learn to work together and from each other.
