After a rather busy summer creating beautiful weddings (you seriously need to be following this girl on Instagram folks!), our in-house florist, Amber Persia, is back with her next instalment of The Look. This time Amber has been inspired by the season’s bountiful offerings and has given you a tantalising glimpse into a Bohemian feast.

With delicious, warming elements and an abundance of foliage this is absolutely one of my favourite wedding styles…

Notes from Amber Persia

Amber:

An earthy palette of soft greens and rich browns; nature’s bounty of pears, delicious nuts and armfuls of fragrant greenery; masses of flickering candlelight and a crackling fire – these are the key elements of this warm autumnal look.

For this bohemian feast, the table is laden with goodies that not only look good but equally taste and smell delicious too. Running the entire length of the table is a relaxed greenery runner of fragrant eucalyptus, and intermingled are old flowerpots overflowing with walnuts and cobnuts, together with antique nut crackers, ripe succulent pears, and ancient footed urns planted with scented herbs including thyme and sage. To add to the romance, a mix of simple pillar candles and others in beautiful cut glass cover the linen tablecloth and scent the air with the warm aroma of wild fig.

Guests are invited to tuck in, so platters of warm homemade bread and individual pears dipped in caramel on each place setting add to the bountiful feel. Mismatched glasses suit the relaxed atmosphere, as does the rich and decadent chocolate and chestnut cake, simply decorated with eucalyptus. A roaring fire keeps guests warm on a cool autumn evening, and sheepskins thrown on the benches add a touch of luxury while still complementing the laid-back feel.
