Our Venue + Ethos
Huntsmill Farm is a family-owned working farm, based in Shalstone near Buckingham, run by the Hilsdon family and has been for many years, with some of the farmland having been in the family for four generations.
The first wedding took place at Huntsmill Farm in 2011 using a traditional pole and rope marquee. After a few summers of putting the marquee up and taking it down again, Henry came up with the idea to convert the neglected barn into a wedding venue. Work then began to convert the stone barn into a wedding barn in April 2017, which was completed in April 2018 with the first wedding in May 2018. Since then, we have welcomed many couples here into the Huntsmill Farm family!
YOur Wedding Experience
Our converted 18th-century stone barn is a space where you can get married and hold your evening reception all in the same place. Our barn is a converted stone barn with plenty of charm with exposed beams, oak framed windows and romantic accent lighting. The barn consists of two rooms joined through oak doors. One is used for ceremonies, and then later the evening entertainment, while the other is used for the wedding breakfast and the on-site bar.
As well as our stone barn, we are also licensed for outdoor ceremonies where you can get married surrounded by Buckinghamshire countryside perfect for warm spring and summer weddings. Our outdoor structure, The Shed, was a new addition built in 2021 to offer an alternative location for our couples to hold their ceremonies. The Shed is built out of reclaimed roof timbers from one of our old barns, and corrugated tin to fit in with our rustic style. Situated in front of the fields at Huntsmill Farm, The Shed gives you an ever-changing background and a picturesque setting.

Hello From Huntsmill Farm.
As an arable farm of over 330 acres, Huntsmill Farm also has ample outdoor space, great for welcome drinks outside, or a place to set up lawn games for your guests. There are lovely views from the footpaths as they cross the fields and hills, providing opportunities to enjoy walks around the farm. As we benefit from being in the British countryside, we are lucky to have an ever-changing background, from blooming wildflowers to crops sprouting up for harvest, and our seasonal flowers planted around the courtyard. Amongst our fields, we also have the odd rabbit, hare, or deer that might make an appearance!
We have seven self-catering cottages arranged in a courtyard adjoining the wedding barn, perfect for creating a home from home while you’re celebrating your wedding. Our seven self-catering cottages can sleep up to 32 guests, all beautifully converted from the original farm barns of stone, timber and slate and offer a real home-from-home atmosphere.
Included in our seven cottages is our honeymoon suite, The Old Dairy, made up of a luxurious super king-sized bed and an elegant roll-top bath. Giving you a romantic space for the night of your wedding day.
At Huntsmill Farm we are a family farm and pride ourselves on creating an extended Huntsmill family with our couples, to allow for a relaxed memorable experience. Many of our couples describe their wedding experiences with us as friendly, and supportive throughout the planning process and love having the space to themselves with time to decorate and set up the venue.

Planning Tip
One of the most important factors we think couples should consider is finding a venue that contains their guests so that you don’t lose them to different areas on the day. Our barn has distinct zones without leading your guests to other locations. Couples often comment how the space has worked well for them as everything for the evening is in one space, including the bar area, so guests are never far away allowing you to spend your wedding with them.
Something else to consider is how different parts of the venue look at different times of the day. Our courtyard space is a great space to socialise with your guests, and at night is lit up with festoon lights making the space feel cosy, with a romantic vibe.
2023 Prices
Our wedding prices for 2023 are dependent on the day of the week and time of year, ranging from £3,500 – £9,300.
All wedding packages include exclusive site hire of the barn, courtyards and gardens and seven self-catering cottages which can sleep up to 32 people. We also provide support and advice throughout the wedding planning, with our exclusive Facebook group for our Huntsmill Farm couples.
