About us

BMA House is a hidden gem steeped in history, located in the heart of Bloomsbury. Our stunning Grade II listed building is home to four licensed venue spaces from the Great Hall complete with golf leafed pillars, to the striking Garden Room. This beautiful, contemporary space is perfect for pre-dinner drinks in the case of wet weather and is a popular choice for our couples.

We are well-versed in hosting weddings and celebrations at BMA House and approach each and every wedding booking with a personal touch. For example we provide one point of contact, one wedding planner from your initial enquiry to your last spin around the dancefloor included in our offering. Whether this is through one of our all-inclusive packages, or a bespoke proposal built with you in mind. We are also an exclusive hire venue – despite having four very different spaces licensed for weddings, we only ever host one at a time – meaning there is no risk of that awkward moment when you bump into another wedding couple in the corridor!

Our team work incredibly hard to ensure each wedding runs seamlessly and every couple is happy and relaxed when it comes to their big day. One of the biggest changes we’ve made in the recent years though and something that we’re incredibly passionate about is our approach to sustainability.

Starting small we proposed a caring policy on biodegradable confetti and make sure that there are no single-use plastics in the venue. Next up, one of the biggest areas for environmental impact comes from food and drink. Food miles are considered for all our menus, as is the seasonality of the food and sustainable values of our suppliers – in fact we now only stock English sparkling wines for that very reason. There is no need for concern, not only have the English wines consistently beaten continental competitors in blind taste tests, we also always offer complementary menu tastings so you can sample them yourself. It is, however, our water which travels the shortest distance as it is bottled on site!

We believe the perfect wedding venue will always make the day about the couple. Putting them front and centre, respecting their wishes, and finding ways to meet their needs resulting in the wedding of their dreams.
