Exclusive Deluxe Christmas Weekend at Houchins

A few weeks ago I was treated to a lovely homemade lunch in the rather unique farmhouse at Houchins in Essex. I was the lucky guest of Adam, owner of Houchins, and Fi, who also happens to be a pretty great cook! Her Quiche + Superfood Salad = YUM.

This rustic yet contemporary, almost industrial wedding venue is absolutely stunning in the ‘flesh’ and after having spent quite some time staring at the images online via my own directory, it was truly a pleasure to see it all come to life as I made my way down their long tree-lined driveway.

Houchins comprises a stunning farmhouse for guests to stay and a modern, airy and sympathetically restored barn space for civil ceremony, reception, dinner and dancing.

The farmhouse accommodation, which overlooks the barn, is Grade II listed and can sleep up to 14 of your closest friends & family. All the rooms have been most elegantly refurbished and have a wonderful stylish appeal with natural fabrics and wonderful light.
