Bhuti x The Bingham

Written by Emma Hla
Monday mornings – I think we all have our routines to kick-start our week, right?

Well, last Monday, I was well and truly thrown when I stepped away from the usual desk position and headed to the picturesque Richmond-upon-Thames, where bhuti lies within…

The story starts with The Bingham. I adore this venue. It’s graced these pages many a time, and it’s been a personal bookmark for many a family occasion, so when I was asked if I wanted to make another visit to try out their brand new Spa called bhuti, there was only one answer.

Bhuti & The Bride

bhuti is an eco and well-being escape located a stone’s throw from the hotel. Offering a range of natural and organic spa treatments, bhuti is a perfect extension of The Bingham’s luxury ethos. It provides a range of treatments designed to ensure you feel radiant from within. From yoga classes and nutrition workshops to thermal detox massages and inner peace treatments, bhuti offers treatment for everyone, covering a range of Complementary therapies, including Reiki, Acupuncture and Homeopathy, all carried out using only the finest natural and organic products proudly made in England.

You may have a slight inclination by now that planning a wedding can be a teensy bit stressful, so taking time out – whether it’s with your husband-to-be, with your girlfriends or just by yourself – is essential. You can, therefore, visit bhuti for a pick-me-up throughout your wedding planning or enjoy some pampering on the eve or morning of your big day. The stresses of wedmin and to-do lists can be left at the door when you enter the idyllic and tranquil surroundings.

A range of wedding packages are available, including ‘bhuti bride’, the ideal option for brides looking to ready their body for bridal and honeymoon. The package includes a whole body Lycon wax, skin food, hand and foot therapy including manicure and pedicure, a NEOM body scrub and bhuti bliss massage, leaving brides feeling positively zen and body beautiful ahead of the big day.

Groom packages and half-day, full-day and three-month membership options are also available, ideal to kick start inner wellbeing in the key months running up to the big day.

bhuti is also excited to run a special hen-do package, offering brides-to-be and their best girls a morning or afternoon of pure indulgence. Choosing from a range of body treatments, each hen will enjoy a full hour and a half of bhuti pampering with complimentary access to the members’ only space for rest.

For those keen to extend the celebrations, private yoga or fitness classes can also be arranged at an additional cost, followed by lunch in bhuti’s Organic Tea Room – serving Vegan, Organic and gluten-free fresh salads, soups, juices and smoothies.

The day I experienced was incredible and undoubtedly one of the best Spa experiences I’ve had in the UK. Without wanting to make you too jealous, I thought I’d walk you through what I got up to!

Cloud 9

Upon entering the haven that is bhuti, I was greeted by Beth. Beth was writing on a chalkboard and was barefoot; this was instantly my kind of place. The front of bhuti is a gorgeous lifestyle shop and reception area; up a small flight of stairs is the cafe with yummy (and healthy!) treats galore. Behind this lies the warren-like calming corridors leading to yoga spaces, relaxation lounges and treatment rooms.

My first bhuti experience was a yoga class with Sandrine. I am not a full-time yogi, but the class was welcoming and inviting for all levels. Sadly, my flexibility had somewhat abandoned me that day (*ahem*), so the thought of a few relaxing treatments post-stretch was very much welcomed!

Jess, my incredible therapist, was waiting for me and escorted me to a beautiful cocoon that was to be my treatment room. I was having an entire body exfoliation using papaya, macadamia and argan oil, followed by a five-element massage focusing on personalised aromatherapy oils to help balance body and mind.

I believe a few hours passed. I couldn’t tell. I was so calm and relaxed, and once I’d floated from my treatment room to the member’s lounge, it almost felt like I’d moved in.

It’s at this point I met Ola, the kitchen chef. With a potentially long journey home on the M25, I wanted to ensure I had a little energy to keep me alert, so she whipped up a delicious smoothie with frozen banana, coconut milk, almond butter and Lacuma powder. That was the last tick in the box for me, beyond perfection and incredible client service.

Thank you so much to Anne Gloria for welcoming me into her beautiful world, and of course, a heartfelt thanks to her fab bhuti team.

We’ve given a lot of love to bhuti, but if you would like to explore The Bingham in a little more detail for your Wedding Day, you can visit this venue in our directory right here.
