The Spaces

Centred around a restored 19th-century Threshing Barn and Dairy, The Dutch Barn sits tucked away in one of the UK’s Areas Of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Creating beautiful spaces to share with your friends and family and sharing our little slice of idyllic countryside is what we love to do. With everything on our doorstep, at West Barn Lodge, you can get married, dine, celebrate and dance the night away all in one place. Then, end the party with a wonderful night’s sleep in one of the nine luxury en-suite rooms right next door!

We offer an exclusively yours venue with accommodation for up to 20 guests on-site in The Lodge and The Dutch Barn venue space just next door. When you hire the venue, you also have access to the surrounding area, which includes a large lawn, main courtyard, south terrace, and extensive parking.

We always have something happening with the interiors and have refurbished many of the bedrooms. One of our favourite projects recently was the games room which is the perfect spot for relaxing and playing a game of pool or just reading a book in the snug seating area. The Lodge comprises nine en-suite bedrooms with bath, shower and super king beds. In addition, there is a kitchen, main hall dining area for up to 24, living space, TV snug mezzanine, separate toilets, utility room and large entry hall with a grand piano. Outside is a large courtyard with a fire pit, BBQ, tables for dining, parasols in the summer and a hot tub.
The Dutch Barn interiors are polished and rustic, with many materials reclaimed from the family farm. The space includes a commercial kitchen, toilets, a bar, an ample party space for tables and a dance floor, and two attached terraces with a fire pit for guests.

Your Wedding weekend

We have several packages available but our most popular one is the Full Weekend Package from Friday – Monday. With this package, you are welcome to arrive early on Friday morning to set up for the big day on Saturday. Our wedding coordinator will be on hand to help throughout the day with vendors, setting up, and organisation. Settle in for Friday night; this might mean a quiet supper with family or a rehearsal meal either in the main hall or outdoors on the courtyard terrace. We can provide a list of recommended caterers for the night before and the main event.

Saturday is the big day, and the whole venue is yours, so your day looks just how you want it to be either doing a last-minute check of the decorations or a relaxed morning of getting ready, it’s up to you. The wedding coordinator will also be available all day to help things run smoothly. Get married in your area of choice, from the courtyard to the lawn or even on the south terrace, depending on the size of your wedding party. Then, the venue is only a few steps away, and ready to party with your loved ones until 11:30pm, when you can return to the lodge for a great night’s sleep. Sunday is a free day. Whether you want a BBQ for some guests with lawn games or enjoy a day relaxing in the hot tub, it’s up to you. Monday, we provide a later checkout so you can enjoy your wedding weekend for as long as possible!
