Loved by Coco… Henbox {Stylish Hen Party Accessories & Decorations}

A few months back I wrote about my elation at being asked to be a Bridesmaid…

For me, it was most certainly a case of “Never the Bridesmaid, always the Bride”! But, all of this changed when the first of my friends became engaged and hey presto I promptly signed up for B-Maid duties!

So far it’s involved the Bridesmaid Dress shopping trip (you can read my Guide to Bridesmaid Fashion here) and seeing my girl in a wedding dress for the first time… All lovely stuff.

The only minor stressful part of being a Bridesmaid, so far, has been planning the hen party… Why…? Because I have high standards and, I like to think, a healthy understanding of style. So this is where it all came a little unstuck for me. I didn’t want a trashy hen in sight but I was losing hope and losing hope fast. The L plates were almost looking acceptable, until that is I came across HenBox on Instagram.

Clicking onto the HenBox website was a breath of fresh air and it instantly solved all of my worries over providing a stylish, fun and cool party to celebrate my best girl.

So I wanted to share the love, come and meet HenBox ladies…

We are sisters Sarah and Rachael and we founded HenBox in early 2014.

When Sarah became engaged, Rachael in her role as Maid of Honour was put in charge of organising the hen party. After hours spent searching the internet, it soon became obvious that finding fashionable and stylish hen party accessories and decorations was near impossible. So we started HenBox, the ultimate destination for classy, fun and unique hen do accessories, games and decorations.

We love working on developing new directions and ideas for HenBox. Running our own online business is challenging and has required lots of sacrifices. However there is nothing more rewarding than seeing your customers enjoy their hen party with your products. The feedback that we get on social media from our customers is overwhelmingly positive and it really helps motivate us to hunt down more great products from around the world for our customers to enjoy.

Our Tips & Advice to Rock the Hen Do!

HenBox has a blog which has lots of handy hints and tips for those planning a hen party or a wedding… It often falls to the bridesmaids to plan the hen party and we have a couple of top tips to help the process…

• Consider The Bride To Be – Prior to organising anything make sure that you sit down with the hen and run through exactly what she is expecting from her hen do. Does she want a wild night out in a city or does she want to be pampered to perfection in a spa or does it lie somewhere in between?  Make sure you know exactly what she wants before booking anything.
• Get a Guest List – Make sure you understand who should be attending early and, most importantly, send out some invitations early in the process to ensure everyone can attend!
• Set a Budget – Make sure you set an appropriate budget for the hen do and stick to it. Communication is key – ensure that everyone know what the cost of the hen do will be and make sure they are aware of what is included and what is not.
• Games – Hen nights are normally attended by a range of people who have never met each other in their lives! Their one thing in common is the bride and they may not initially have anything to say to each other. Break the ice and get the party started with some fun hen party games.
• Have Fun – Just remember to have fun! It is a lot of responsibility to organise a hen do and can be a stressful process. Try not to worry too much on the day and let your hair down and have a party!
