Real life couple, Georgia and Helen, are the focus of this ethical, eco-friendly, vegan-inspired shoot at one of our absolute fave elopement and intimate wedding venues – Brickhouse Vineyard in Devon.

Notes from the Photographer

Carla says…

I created and styled this shoot for elopement inspiration.

I also wanted to showcase how you can use an eclectic mix of hand-crafted vendors and items to create the wedding you want. I aimed to show couples that you can put YOU in to your wedding and can create your vision.

I handpicked suppliers who had an ethical ethos and were concerned with sustainability and had the personal touch. We also made the wedding completely vegan and cruelty free. With this and sustainability in mind, I sourced florists who used reusable and dried flowers, an eco-friendly ceramicist, a venue who home grows its own grapes in their vineyard and produces their own wine. The furniture was all handmade, as was the jewellery. We used items from a local boutique shop (Mademoiselle Mojo) to style the venue and set ups.

Following this shoot, Georgia and Helen have asked me to photograph their real wedding at Brickhouse Vineyard this year!

About the photographer

PHOTOGRAPHY FOR THE FIERCELY IN LOVE…

Weddings are my world, but connection is my life. I believe in marriages that have meaning. Those intimate moments between you both, her fingers curling into yours, his soft breath on the nape of your neck, that nervous laugh, the depth of love, the things that are left unsaid but not unseen.

This is what I do – enjoy the emotive adventures, revealing in your raw romance and fierce passion, the personal imprint that you leave behind.

The light is never the same, your love is never the same. Each story is individual, each partnership so deeply personal. It’s these meaningful, emotional, tantalising tales that keeps me capturing all day long and editing late into the night – I really am addicted to love, running away with you to the ends of the earth, capturing the wild within.

I’m less about tradition, “should-do’s” and timelines, I’m much more about making your wedding your own, those “hell-YES” moments that mean something and make your marriage unique.

I believe in not doing it by the book, let’s break the rules and become unbound.

THIS IS THE ESSENCE OF THE UNBRIDLED.
