Hello from The Granary Estates

Set within the family estate, the barns are surrounded by picturesque cornfields and beautiful woodlands, with an idyllic courtyard nestled in the centre.

I’ve loved this venue for a long, long time so I’m thrilled to be showing you around and introducing you to the team – affectionately known as the Granary Girls!

The Granary Estates’ rural location complements all styles and trends, with the original flint walls and timber beams providing an exquisite backdrop to all weddings and events. The barns operate all year round adapting to every season; an attribute which caters to the variety of individuals celebrating their special day at our countryside venue.

As the barns approaches its seventh year in the industry, the team are continually assessing and improving the barns in order to maintain the high standards and to support the growth of the venue. The Granary Estates currently boasts two onsite cottages; Meadow & Appletree, but there are plans in process to develop new accommodation within the next 18 months. Exciting times ahead!

The Barns

The Granary Barns have an array of spaces for our couples to use and enjoy. The Granary and Flint Barns are licensed for civil ceremonies which gives couples the option to use either, depending on their guest numbers. Natural light floods the stunning glass walkway, making our venue an attractive space all year round, bringing the outdoors in and connecting the two barns.

As an exclusive venue, the exterior grounds consist of the beautifully kept courtyard, private driveway and stunning cornfields located at the back of the venue. All provide a calm, quiet and private space for guests to enjoy, whether it be in the fresh breeze of a hot summers day or gathered around the roaring fire pit during the winter months.

Despite the grandeur and amount of space available, the barns provide an intimate and relaxed atmosphere for you and your guests to enjoy. During the spring/summer months we are able to open the doors and invite those warm summer nights in to linger for your evening celebrations. In the winter months, the warm glow of our festoons and fairy lights emanating from the barn, provide a warm and cosy feel as the nights draw in.

The barns’ rural location and original features of the Estates provide a number of photo opportunities for you and your guests, great for the wedding album! With features such as the wrought iron pergola, courtyard swing, festoon-lit fire pit, wildflowers, flint walls and golden, wheat-filled fields, the opportunities to get creative are endless.

The Team

If you choose to get married at The Granary Estates, you will receive the highest standard of service from the friendly and innovative team, impeccable attention to detail and incredible memories to take with you.

The team (known as the GG’s; Granary Girls) show immense dedication and enthusiasm to their varied job roles. Having a friendly demeanour, flexible attitude and keeping an open mind, allows the Event Team to approach each wedding with new eyes, permitting each new couple to make their wedding day personal and unique to their story. They encourage creativity and individuality, and love to aid in the planning process as well as with the final set up on the day. As part of the family owned business, the Granary team work very closely together and were thrilled earlier this year when they were crowned with the prestigious title of ‘Best Events Team in the UK‘ at the National Finals of The Wedding Industry Awards 2018. To receive this accolade was a huge honour and paid tribute to the hard work and recognition carried out by the team throughout the years.

The Events Team take the time to really get to know our couples and start to build relationships from the initial enquiry. By learning more about the couples, the GG’s can help transfer personality traits into becoming part of the wedding day and making it unique. After all, it is a day all about the couple!

The event management service provided offers flexibility and expertise whilst assisting during the planning stages. If couples are unsure of where to start searching when it comes to selecting suppliers, the event team offers an extensive list of handpicked suppliers from within the region. The team are available to support the couple and give advice and guidance where necessary. A dedicated co-ordinator will be on site throughout the big day, making sure the day flows seamlessly by managing logistics and ensuring that the couple are relaxed, enjoying every minute and making memories to last a lifetime!

Flexible and Private Viewings

We offer one-to-one appointments following an initial enquiry which enables the team to give you a personal tour around our stunning venue. Along with an estates brochure to take home, this appointment allows you the opportunity to speak directly with a member of the events team who will happily answer any questions that you may have regarding all aspects to the day.
