Vanessa & Richard wanted a wedding venue that could host their friends and family in comfort, and their rustic celebration with bright, colourful pops of purple and pink is making us very happy indeed.
Vanessa says…
We wanted a venue which could hold over 100 guests all day, with accommodation onsite / close by, individual character and we wanted to avoid the need for a marquee (it was March) or a function room. Askham Hall had everything we wanted for our day and more.
We wanted a timeless style without too much formality – an understated natural look, with pops of colour which would hopefully brighten the muted spring colours. We wanted everyone to feel comfortable throughout the day.
Katie at Made in Flowers created beautiful displays with a natural, loose feel, and captured the colours we’d chosen for the day perfectly.
The cake was made by my aunt and decorated by my mum and myself. The catering was in-house, one of the big attractions of Askham Hall was the food, they created a stunning menu of our choosing and it was all amazing!
Jo Bradbury Photography really captured our wedding in exactly the way we’d imagined, combining informal glimpses of the day with relaxed group pictures.
From one couple to another…
It’s so hard to choose a ‘best part’ from the day, it was all amazing from start to finish! But we will say enjoy every moment and don’t overthink the details.
