This decadent shoot at the ever-elegant Thicket Priory serves up rich seasonal tones, modern bridal looks, and just the right amount of drama – from those swoon-worthy caterpillar tables to an excellent red lip moment.

Set against the venue’s stately interiors and soft winter light, the styling draws on classical detail and autumnal depth, while offering inspiration that’s just as perfect for winter weddings as it is for your next Pinterest board. Whether you’re planning a late-year celebration or simply in the mood for a little romance, scroll on.

Thicket Priory is a beautiful luxury wedding venue with high ceilings, elegant spaces and a calm, timeless feel. It works as a blank canvas, allowing styling and florals to take centre stage without competing with the surroundings.
The staircase became a natural focal point for flowers and couple portraits, while the light-filled rooms created a relaxed, romantic setting for the shoot. It’s a venue that gently frames the moment and allows the vision to shine.

The theme was luxury autumn/winter wedding styling with a romantic, editorial edge. We drew inspiration from classical design and period elegance, while keeping the overall look modern and wearable. Soft drapery, layered textures, and rich florals brought warmth and depth, while contemporary fashion and styling kept everything feeling current and refined. The palette featured burgundy, plum, deep purple and layered greens, giving the shoot an autumnal feel while also working beautifully for winter and Valentine’s weddings. The tones were chosen to feel rich but understated, offering couples inspiration for multiple seasons.

The bridal fashion was modern, chic and trend-led. The bride wore contemporary corset-style wedding dresses styled without a veil, with one look featuring a scarf for movement and editorial impact. Pearl bridal jewellery added timeless elegance, while permanent jewellery details brought a subtle modern twist.
Chrys Chapman fully understood the brief. We chose an updo to highlight the jewellery and keep the look clean and timeless, while makeup stayed minimal and glowy to enhance natural beauty. Later, we introduced a red lip to create an evening feel without changing into a second dress.

The styling focused on soft textures, candlelight, draping and full florals to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Caterpillar tables were dressed with relaxed linens and low arrangements to encourage conversation and connection. Canopy chandeliers added impact, while overhead foliage softened the space and brought in a garden-inspired feel.

The shoot was in collaboration with Emma from The Petal Studio, whose florals brought romance and depth to the styling. The arrangements felt natural but elevated, balancing softness with structure.
Overhead foliage installations added movement, while a palette of burgundy, plum, blush and soft neutrals tied the florals seamlessly into the overall autumn wedding aesthetic.

Couples can draw inspiration from elements such as caterpillar tables, draped fabrics, champagne towers, and low floral arrangements to elevate the guest experience while keeping it relaxed and stylish.
The colour palette also offers ideas for couples wanting a wedding look that feels luxurious yet understated and works beautifully across autumn, winter and Valentine’s celebrations.
