Romantic Bridesmaid Editorial at Falcon Manor

It’s clearly one of the most popular wedding colors (EVER!), and was chosen by Paige Hargreaves Photography, blush to be precise, as the perfect colour on which to build this beautiful love story at Falcon Manor, a venue she loves and had shot weddings at before. This is not the typical love story you might associate with weddings though, this is a love story with female friendship at the heart.

Pink represents love and devotion – emotions you might identify with in your romantic relationships, but your besties too, right? This editorial is stylish and fun, with a little bit of edginess thrown in for good measure! It’s time to get scrolling…

Falcon Manor was relaunched in 2015 as the Yorkshire Dales’ most romantic and breathtaking exclusive-use wedding venue. A truly striking building surrounded by rolling hills and open farmland, set within private gardens to provide a quiet and intimate setting.

Paige came to us with a styled shoot concept where blush would be the primary colour, complementing the unique and ornate wallpaper in our Garden Room, whilst incorporating tones of grey, gold and white. Together we wanted to inspire couples with a beautiful wedding colour theme but that we believed would also best suit the décor of the venue. The overall feel was feminine yet sophisticated and can be easily recreated by couples.

Our Honeymoon Suite naturally gets plenty of attention but we have several other stunning suites within the venue and chose to hold part of the shoot in our beautiful Turret Suite. Making a real feature of the luxurious freestanding bath that takes pride of place against the original large sash window was a priority. But we also wanted to incorporate a sense of fun into the shoot and decided to capture the bride having fun with her bridesmaids the night before the wedding.

The models each had two looks for the shoot; matching satin wedding nightwear and gorgeous wedding and bridesmaid dresses supplied from Amelia’s Bridal in Clitheroe. Katie, the bride for the day, was made up with a subtle smokey eye, nude lip and a chic updo finished with an understated silver and pearl headpiece from Earth Links Bridal. We wanted to showcase an effortless, easy to wear to bridal dress that would appeal to a wide range of brides-to-be so we chose an A-line dress with stunning lace detail and a tulle skirt. The bust of the dress had a subtle sparkle running throughout to add a touch of glamour to the overall look. Our bridesmaids were dressed in soft blush pleated dresses with eyelash lace detail to complement the overall theme of the shoot.

The florist was Wildfire Floral, who ran with the brief perfectly, using seasonal blush roses and dried sprays featuring delicate pink shoots for the bouquets. Carrying these stems through to the table setting she dressed the room beautifully pulling all elements of the shoot together to create a cohesive look, highlighting and emphasising the Manor’s unique features. The table was elegantly dressed using trend-led stationery by The Wedding Workshop Lancashire with bespoke wedding favours and delicate cakes made by Sugar Fancies Cake Design. Kate Illustrate supplied three beautifully painted leather jackets, a huge trend for 2022 weddings, which added an edgy twist to the photoshoot.

Overall this shoot showcases how couples can create an elegant look whilst also incorporating different elements that may push them outside their comfort zones. Together we felt we perfectly highlighted the unique features that our venue can offer and the creative flair of the suppliers who contributed.
