Set within 142 acres of beautiful private land, their wedding weekend in May was the perfect blend of style, substance, and serenity. Think tuxedos, oyster-toned bridesmaids, refined tablescapes, and vows beneath Trevenna’s oak and slate arbour—foliage-draped and finished with pretty white florals. With a firm focus on good food, thoughtful details, and time well spent with loved ones, their wedding celebrated simplicity done exceptionally well.
From the moment we first arrived at Trevenna, we knew it was perfect for us. The venue is set in a beautiful, private location with stunning interiors, immaculate gardens, and plenty of on-site accommodation for guests travelling a bit further.
The two-night stay exceeded all our expectations, with incredible food and a fantastic selection of drinks. The entire team at Trevenna went above and beyond to ensure that everything ran smoothly and everyone felt so welcome. Focusing solely on celebrating with our nearest and dearest without any stress or worries was such a joy.
‘Harry’ by Made With Love was the first dress I tried on, and I instantly fell in love with its beautiful draped-back detail and simple silhouette. Although it was slightly out of my initial budget, I was lucky to find it second-hand on the Still White App. I purchased it in a slightly larger size and altered it to fit by the lovely Gemma at Stitched Up.
Jack and his best man embraced a timeless monochrome theme, opting for classic tuxedos. The bridesmaids wore beautiful neutral satin dresses from Six Stories. I wanted them all to feel comfortable, so they chose their preferred style in the same shade: oyster.
For hair and makeup, the bridesmaids and I spent the morning pampered by the wonderful Anna Ingram and Georgina Yates. Each bridesmaid decided on their own hair and makeup style, and I loved that they had the freedom to go with whatever made them feel their best. Anna and Georgina did an amazing job creating a variety of gorgeous looks while bringing plenty of positive energy. It was the perfect start to the day!
Trevenna’s natural Cornish charm and already tasteful interior let us keep the décor beautifully understated. We wanted the aesthetic to feel timeless, something we’d look back on years from now and still love. We created minimalist stationery and signage, from individual menus to bespoke chair tags and confetti bags. The dining tables were simply decorated with lush green foliage, brass candlesticks, and crisp white napkins to create an effortless yet sophisticated feel.
The lovely Kirsty at Essential Blooms came highly recommended by Trevenna. Her deep knowledge of the venue made everything so much easier, and she brought our floral vision to life perfectly in every detail. We opted for predominantly foliage-based arrangements, incorporating muted greenery like eucalyptus and olive. Kirsty elevated the look with delicate white florals, including waxflower, Silver Eryngium, Larkspur, and roses, adding just the right amount of softness and texture.
The exceptional in-house team at Trevenna created all the food, including our wedding cake. One of the highlights of planning our wedding was attending the food tasting, where we sampled a selection of their delicious dishes before deciding on the perfect menu to share with our family and friends. The team also brilliantly handled dietary requirements, ensuring every guest had a fantastic dining experience.
We were fortunate to have gorgeous spring weather throughout our stay, so we could enjoy an alfresco dinner with our loved ones the night before the wedding. Sitting outside, soaking in the atmosphere, and sharing amazing food together was truly special.
Photography was a big priority for us, and we were so lucky to find the incredibly talented Amy Woodham Photography. We loved her candid, joy-filled style, and when our images arrived, we were beyond excited to relive the day through her lens. Neither of us is particularly comfortable in front of the camera, but Amy put us completely at ease. She blended seamlessly into the day, capturing everything so naturally and was just a dream to have with us. We wanted photos that felt authentic and full of emotion, and Amy delivered that beautifully.
It’s so hard to pick just one moment! We both love live music, and the band was absolutely incredible. Being surrounded by all our loved ones on the dance floor at the end of the night was an unforgettable moment. The entire stay was filled with so much love and laughter; celebrating in such a beautiful place with our favourite people was everything we could have hoped for and more.
Just enjoy every second!
