Luxury Tipi Weddings at Deene Park Estate

I love Italy and have sorely missed travel over the last 18 months, so there is a LOT to love and take inspiration from within this editorial. Georgina and the team committed to the Tuscan theme, and it’s all the better because of this. From the fresh lemon decorations to olive leaves woven throughout the design and the Italian cocktails – delicious. It is all set within the beautiful grounds of Deene Park with the majestic house as the backdrop, just dreamy.

Also, why is the first time I’ve ever seen a crostini station at a wedding? Incredible idea! Well I’m sold…

Hidden in the Northamptonshire countryside, from the moment you enter the gates of Deene Park, you are transported to a different world with breathtaking views at every turn! This is a marquee venue like no other. Offering the perfect mix of historic grandeur and relaxed garden charm, the luxurious backdrop was undoubtedly the ideal spot to showcase just how glamorous outdoor weddings can be!

A slice of outdoor luxury with a twist of Tuscan elegance! The shoot was created as inspiration for couples seeking classic luxury within a laidback outdoor setting. Incorporating subtle Italian vibes to add interest, the design clearly shows how a couple’s personalities, passions and tastes can be weaved in. It’s chic but understated.

We kept it simple but chic with fresh greens and whites, adding a splash of yellow to reflect the Tuscan details. The shoot took place in May and was planned as a classic spring wedding. True to real life, the weather was against us on the day itself, but it added to the overall moody, romantic feel. Illustrating perfectly how atmospheric and beautifully adaptable tipi weddings are to stand up to any season!

We used the styled shoot to showcase two styles of dress – one with a romantic feel with layers of floaty tulle in a full skirt and the other with a chic, sleek silhouette, waist detail and a dramatic split at the front. Each dress captured the different elements of the theme and suited the elegant, relaxed, alfresco wedding we created.

Taking inspiration from the dress, the model’s hair colour, the weather and the style of the shoot, a classic updo with a smooth finish screamed Tuscan/Italian elegance. This classic Italian chic style suited Adele’s face shape, and it was the perfect style to stay in place all day when considering an outdoor venue.

The shoot brief was to bring together the glamour of the stunning Deene Park with the natural and relaxed vibe of a tipi wedding by the lake. Without overpowering the site’s natural beauty, we styled a simple, classic, yet luxurious look with a laid-back feel. Bringing the outside in, we added masses of foliage and white flowers, with countless fairy lights, tea lights and Ester Erik candles to add that magical warm glow after dark.

Subtle yet stunning elements were added to the styling to bring the luxurious twist of Italian chic to the shoot – we enclosed the bar area in beautiful lemon trees, added a crostini grazing station and sumptuous lemon-themed dessert bar, all of which added an exciting splash of colour to the classic green and white palette.

The stunningly simple white cake with hand-painted designs reminiscent of Italian floor tiles and a sprig of fresh olive leaves. Delicious white and olive green macarons served in a tower and in glass dishes on the tables. The sizeable hanging fabric table plan added movement and continued the relaxed feel. Mirroring the Tuscan elegance with hand-drawn sprigs of an olive branch and delicate fonts, all the stationery worked perfectly with the clean, white designs with touches of gold foil for added luxury.

The floral designs by Julia Dilworth gave the tipi depth and beauty with a classic ivory palette of roses, hydrangea and orchids mixed alongside masses of foliage using eucalyptus, ivy and, Italian olive and ruscus.
