Lottie’s Barn, one of the aforementioned licensed spaces at The Octagon Barn, provided the backdrop to today’s styled shoot. The blend of dry and fresh seasonal florals, drapes, and a relaxed wedding vibe perfectly matched the venue’s original beams, heritage features, and huge windows.

We were absolutely delighted to gather some wonderful suppliers for a styled shoot at Lottie’s Barn, one of seven licensed ceremony sites at The Octagon Barn. Lottie’s Barn, named after the owners’ daughter, is a beautifully maintained venue that seats up to 120 attendees for ceremonies. It boasts an open-vaulted ceiling, original beams, and one exposed side, allowing natural light to flood the room.

The theme for this shoot was inspired by the barns and their countryside setting, emphasising a rural and natural rustic feel. We chose a colour palette of neutrals, creams, and browns with pops of colour, like the orange on Melissa’s dress, to evoke spring vibes.

Collaborating with Poppy Perspective, a sustainable handmade bridal dress supplier based in Kent, was a first for us. Designer Phiney Edmundson created a flawless Melissa dress featuring fringe sleeves and vintage lace. We fell in love with the ‘Clementine’ dress, available in their Kent studio. The dress was perfectly complemented by Regina Boots from Fairfax & Favor.

Thanks to Sophie Taylor for styling Melissa’s hair and Kirstie Barton for her mesmerising makeup artistry. They both captured the shoot’s rustic, boho-esque theme, enhancing the dress’s beauty.

Pure Suit Hire in Norwich kindly lent us their Tibberton Tan Tweed Suit for Jack. This suit is available for both hire and purchase at their Norwich branch.

Jess at Jipola provided stunning floristry for the occasion. Specialising in dried and preserved flora and incorporating fresh flowers, Jess’s work highlights Norfolk-grown, seasonal flowers, promoting sustainability and natural beauty.

We also thank PROPosal Wedding Hire for supplying beautiful pre-loved props, including tables and rugs perfectly complemented by Sam Race Venue Decoration‘s drapes. Jules and her husband offer various decorative options while maintaining a sustainable approach by reusing and repurposing materials. At The Octagon Barn, we believe in minimising environmental impact and proudly promote suppliers like Jules.
