Harriet & Adam’s Wedding at The Hoste Arms

They wanted a low-key, intimate vibe for their wedding, and The Hoste provided just that. Harriet wore an ethereal dress, while Adam opted for a bespoke suit, blending seamlessly with their coastal theme. Their celebration was filled with thoughtful details, vibrant flowers (thanks to Floral Sistas), and support from a talented and dedicated team, making their day as smooth and special as they envisioned.

From the moment we first set foot in Hoste, we fell in love with its laid-back vibe and welcoming atmosphere. The relaxed pub and hotel ambience, coupled with the hidden gem of a secret courtyard garden, made it the perfect place for our wedding. The idea of a “secret garden escape” wedding was irresistible, and when the time came to say our “I do’s,” there was no doubt in our minds that Hoste was where we wanted to be.

Jade, the wedding coordinator, was nothing short of fabulous. She went above and beyond to ensure every detail of our day was perfect, making the entire experience seamless.

I chose an ethereal, beachy-style wedding dress at Perla Nova Bridal in Suffolk. The Made with Love A-line gown featured a deep V-neckline adorned with stunning 3D lace and scalloped straps. The beautifully flowing skirt even had pockets! Adding a celestial touch, I wore the sparkling star and pearl hair pins, matching pearl earrings, and a cathedral veil with delicate floral embroidery. My open-toe heels completed the look.

Adam looked incredibly stylish in his bespoke wedding suit from Trotter & Dean, Bury St Edmunds. The ensemble featured a deep navy blazer paired with a vibrant burnt orange waistcoat, perfectly complementing our wedding flowers.

We envisioned a coastal sunset beach vibe—relaxed yet romantic. Our décor included handmade oyster shell candles with sea kelp and mint scents, a surfboard seating chart, and soft draping with candles that added a gentle romantic touch.

Choosing Floral Sistas was a no-brainer for us. Having followed their work and recommended them to other brides, I adored their flair for creating utterly unique and personal weddings. We chose oceanic blues and sunset oranges to enhance our romantic, whimsical beach escape theme.

Hoste catered our entire day, starting with elegant canapés during drinks, followed by a divine three-course meal. The evening menu featured pulled pork sliders and vegan burgers, offering a delicious variety for all our guests. Our cake was a beautiful two-tier creation made by Adam’s sister. With flavours of salted caramel and lemon posset, it was finished with vibrant flowers from Floral Sistas.

We absolutely bagged the best photographers around – Lisa & Neil! This dynamic duo brought incredible passion and creativity to every aspect of their work. Their tips and enthusiastic support from our first Zoom call helped shape our dream day. They managed to capture every raw, joyful, and love-filled moment, making even our silliest and most candid photos feel magical.

Best part of the day

One of the most cherished moments was right after we said our I do’s. Our daughter, Zola, joined us along with our beagle pup, Ziggy, making our family complete as “The Dellars”. It was a perfect, heartwarming moment that encapsulated the essence of our day.
