Emily & Ryan’s Wedding at Tythe

Written by Emma Hla
When Emily & Ryan visited Tythe for the last time in their venue search, they instantly knew it was the one.

With its stunning grounds and personal feel, it was perfect for their three-day summer celebration. They kept the styling simple to complement Tythe’s character, choosing black tuxedos for the groom’s party and soft silvery grey dresses for the bridesmaids. The floral arrangements with white roses and eucalyptus added just the right touch. One of their favourite moments was enjoying a private sweetheart table and seeing their loved ones having a blast!

Notes from the Bride

Emily says…

After looking at many venues and feeling very overwhelmed, we had one final venue viewing before making our decision. Our final visit was at Tythe, where we instantly fell in love. It was absolutely everything we were looking for and more. The space felt so personal, with the bonus of the beautiful Farmhouse for all our wedding party to stay in, allowing us to extend our wedding over three days. The grounds are stunning, and walking through the wisteria aisle felt like a perfect match for our summer wedding.

We were looking to keep the styling very simplistic. Tythe is such a stunning venue with so much character that it felt only right to keep things very neutral. We had already decided on black tuxedos for the groom and groom’s party, and my dress was much more detailed than I had ever imagined choosing, so we knew we wanted to keep the styling subtle. Our bridesmaids’ dresses were a very soft silvery grey, and the stationery was also based on white, black, and grey tones.

After receiving many floral quotes and still not having any further idea on what I was looking for, I came across Ever After Weddings on social media and loved everything they had to offer; both Sarah and Jo are super experienced in what they do and the knowledge and guidance they gave helped us to visualise how we could style the day and keep in line with the simplistic theme. We chose white roses and eucalyptus as our main flowers and foliage. We left the rest to the experts, and WOW, did they deliver.

Our wonderful friend enjoys baking cakes as a hobby. She was more than happy to create our wedding cake based on the criteria of matching our flowers and theme. The cake was incredible and very much exceeded our expectations. We had three tiers: Victoria sponge, red velvet, and lemon drizzle.

Best part of the day

Every moment! It is so hard to choose. Walking into the room and seeing the tablets set up and ready for the wedding breakfast was an incredible feeling, and I felt a huge sense of achievement seeing the plans all come together. We decided on a sweetheart table, and this was one of the best decisions we made. Being seated and looking out to all of your guests, laughing, drinking, enjoying the most delicious food, and having an amazing time is everything you dream of with those closest to you. It allowed us to have a moment to ourselves, discuss the day so far, and take in the fact that we had just become husband and wife.

From one couple to another…

Enjoy every moment! It will all fall into place and will be everything you dream of.  Take a moment for the two of you to reflect on the day and take in the moments you shared with your guests. HAVE FUN!
