Emily & Jordon’s New Forest Wedding

Emily says…

After exploring numerous venues and encountering corporate function rooms lacking character, we stumbled upon Burley Manor, a refreshing discovery boasting ample character and the flexibility to personalise our theme. Adam and the Burley Manor team ensured flawless execution from set up the day before to packing down the day after.

Our bridesmaid dresses, sourced from Wed2B, offered a diverse selection to suit different figures and personalities while maintaining a cohesive cornflower blue hue. Matching tie sets were procured from Moss to complement the groomsmen’s neutral woollen three-piece suits.

The groom’s suit, also from Moss, featured a distinctive floral Liberty Fabric tie, setting him apart as the groom. Robert Old in Bournemouth provided his tailored shirt, delivering exceptional service and attention to detail.

At Minster Bridal, Wimborne, I found my dream dress—a Stella York gown. I personalised it with bespoke mesh lace side panels. Sarah Sivyer expertly handled alterations, while my cathedral-length lace veil contrasted the dress’s crepe fabric and silky button detailing.

Burley Manor’s charm minimised the need for extensive decor; instead, we focused on floral arrangements and tablescapes. Inspired by sunset hues, our colour palette featured warm oranges, nature-inspired greens and blues, and creamy neutrals, harmonising with the venue’s brick, white walls, and wooden beams.

Our florist, Jonna, at Peony Blue and The House Of Styling collaborated seamlessly to bring our vision to life. The House Of Styling’s fairy light canopies enhanced the cosy ambience in both rooms.

Helen Jane Cake Design crafted our stunning three-tiered cake, adorned with gold leaf accents and offering three delectable flavours: lemon and Elderflower, cherry bakewell, and White Chocolate and Passion Fruit. A bespoke cake topper featuring our beloved dog, Luna, added a personal touch.

We entrusted Jessica Hayman with our photography needs, impressed by her portfolio and rapport with us. Her vibrant, candid style beautifully captured our day, while a second photographer ensured comprehensive coverage. Following Jessica’s recommendation, we enlisted videographer Matt Hampton, who expertly documented every moment and provided various edits to our chosen music.

Live music played a significant role throughout the day, with Adam Lloyd‘s piano accompaniment during the ceremony, Mariachi Loco’s lively performance during the drinks reception, and The Live Notes’ energetic covers band keeping the dance floor buzzing all night.
