From the moment they found the venue, they knew it was the one — thoughtfully designed, effortlessly beautiful, and grounded in the countryside charm they were drawn to. With ethereal white florals, lilac accents, a very iconic Colin and Connie cameo, and a ceremony filled with love, this was a day that felt entirely true to them. A celebration that proves you don’t need excess to make magic — just intention, warmth, and the right setting.

We finally found Tythe after a long search. Not only was it absolutely stunning, both inside the Barn and Farmhouse, as well as the grounds, but the atmosphere/vibe really suited us as a couple – it was well thought out and had so much attention to detail, but still had a countryside and down-to-earth feel to it. The grounds had different sections you used for other parts of the weekend, each as beautiful as the last. The staff there are excellent. Our incredible wedding day co-ordinator, Francesca, was the real star of the show, keeping the day running without a single hiccup and looking after us at every step.

Ben had a beautiful linen suit made by a trusted tailor, its inside engraved with important initials. His groomsmen wore black suits and matching earthy ties. I wore the ‘Florence’ dress from Made With Love, shoes from Bella Belle, and jewellery from Lily & Roo. My bridesmaids wore matching lilac dresses, a nod to the purple hair I wore in my teens!

The already beautiful venue carried much of the day’s styling; we did not feel there was much need to decorate anywhere as stunning as Tythe Barn. We just wanted guests to feel welcome, settled in, comfortable and full of love! We had fairy lights and flowers, and signs painted with flowers by Ben’s lovely mum.
We chose Joanna Carter Flowers as our wedding-day florist. We had all white flowers, with minimal green. We wanted the vibe to be ethereal and whimsical.

The cake was…. Colin and Connie caterpillar cake (a Marks & Spencer classic). The catering was provided by Absolute Taste for both our wedding breakfast and an enormous barbecue the next day. We still have people telling us how good the food was, they’re amazing.

Sally Forder from Binky Nixon – impeccable photography, impeccable vibes and energy. How have we met someone once but feel like we’ve known them a lifetime?! She is incredibly skilled – we asked not to have too many group/posed photos as that isn’t our style, and instead just wanted her to capture the day as it moved naturally. She went above and beyond, we’re so happy we chose her!

We both feel the best part of the day was the ceremony. Seeing each other for the first time is a memory that we will never forget, and becoming husband and wife. We had such a wonderful registrar, and readings that reflected us, a couple read by my mum and Ben’s dad. The ceremony was filled with so much love, a real highlight.

No one knows how the day is meant to go, so don’t fret if something doesn’t pan out how you had imagined; no one will have any idea! Everyone there is there to love and support you. You are there to marry the love of your life! Enjoy it and let the day reflect you as a couple, whatever that means!
