Caroline & Myles’ Boho Wedding at Elmbridge Farm

by Caitlin Hoare
Images by Dearest Love.
“With their beautiful boho styling, fabulous family and friends, and their love of music at the heart of everything they did, their wedding was just gorgeous through and through.”

I can assure you, it really is! From the magical woodland ceremony setting, to the burnt orange bridesmaids’ dresses and how utterly in love this pair obviously are. We’re delighted to welcome Elmbridge Farm owner Amy to the Blog to talk us through Caroline + Myles’ beautiful boho wedding.

Notes from the Venue

Amy says…

We are so lucky to be in such gorgeous surroundings and for our couples to have a choice of settings for their wedding ceremony. Whilst most choose to make the most of our lovely lakeside spot, Caroline and Myles were the first to have their ceremony tucked away in our woodland clearing. And, wow, did it look wonderful! With their beautiful boho styling, fabulous family and friends, and their love of music at the heart of everything they did, their wedding was just gorgeous through and through.

The bridal party spent the morning getting ready together in our cottages whilst Myles and his groomsmen put the final touches in place and welcomed the guests to their woodland wedding. Everyone who arrived came bearing not just gifts but some incredible looking cakes and bakes too, which were handed over to the trusty groomsmen for later…

As friends and family took their seats, Caroline and her bridesmaids waited just out of view in their beautiful burnt orange jumpsuits and fabulous flower crowns! They looked absolutely gorgeous;  the bride was positively glowing. She even commented “I must look so much better than when you saw me yesterday getting ready” and, whilst we all agreed Caroline still looked amazing in her t-shirt and jeans, in her dress she was nothing short of stunning!

Their flowers and bouquets were all made by the groom’s cousin, florist Rhiannon Little, and decorative pieces she had created added perfect stylish touches throughout the day.

Their woodland ceremony was beautiful, personal but incredibly fun  – not only did the ladies get to walk down the aisle but also close friend and MC for the day, Dan, and their gorgeous family dog too! They read their own vows, had friends to say a few words, and had smiles on their faces from start to finish.

Ceremony complete, our couple lead their guests on a little walk around the grounds down past the lake, over the bridge and towards the tipi where a prosecco drinks reception awaited. They also had a super cute ice cream trike from Bears Great Escapes for their guests to enjoy, too. (Thankfully, after a downpour the day before, the sun stayed out for everyone to enjoy the gorgeous views and tasty treats!). Whilst the guests indulged, Jim from Dearest Love Photography captured the most beautiful photos of the couple with their nearest and dearest.

As evening came, guests took their seats in the tipi for a beautiful meal provided by Paisley Flour consisting of sharing platters of antipasti and amazing Moroccan-inspired lamb. But they didn’t do it by halves! The bridal party and their parents all made incredible entrances into the tipi to the cheers and applause of everyone inside. The bride’s father was really busting out some moves! There were some excellent speeches – none more so than the unforgettable joint effort of the bride and groom themselves, although the highlight perhaps was Myles leading his guests in a singsong of… you guessed it, Sweet Caroline! It went perfectly with the festival-inspired table names and the touches they had added that were a nod to their love of music. Desserts were the aforementioned cakes, provided by their guests, and judged in a Bake Off-style taste test. How brilliant to see everyone playing their part and getting involved in their day!

The evening was spent playing lawn games (including the most incredibly tense game of Jenga!) before Paisley Flour served up pizza from their pizza oven, and the dancing could begin! Swapping her heels for trainers and donning her denim jacket, Mrs Reece joined her husband on the dance floor and partied late into the night.
