Whether planning a small wedding or an elopement, this editorial proves that with the right details, a simple celebration can be magical. Tiree Dawson Photography has all the details…
Lindeth Fell is a hidden gem—a small yet luxurious 5-star country house in lush gardens. Perched on the outskirts of Bowness-on-Windermere, high above Lake Windermere, it offers breathtaking views of the Lake District. Despite its proximity to town, it feels like a secluded retreat with an enchanting, secret garden vibe. Inside, the decor is rich and moody, blending elegance with a relaxed, sophisticated charm. The venue exudes a visual opulence that extends from its grand interiors to its picturesque surroundings. Being the first to capture this striking location creatively was exciting.
We embraced soft textures and blush pastels for spring. The aesthetic for the shoot was inspired by the bohemian English countryside, infused with touches of vintage glamour and elegance to reflect Lindeth Fell. Sam from Free Range Floristry created stunning floral arrangements that perfectly complemented the theme: The arrangements used pastel hues, blush pinks, and warm rusty tones, with seasonal sweet peas taking centre stage.
Sleek, sophisticated dresses were provided by Julia Tasker Couture, whose studio is just minutes away from the venue. These were perfectly complemented by delicate, warming knits from Oubas—a local brand renowned for its stunning garments and commitment to sustainable fashion. Accessories added subtle luxury, with exquisite hairpieces from Debbie Carlisle and elegant jewellery from Juni Jewellery. The natural hair and makeup were masterfully created by Heather and Katrina from Bowness Bridal Hair.
As this was an intimate elopement shoot, we focused on simplicity, demonstrating how a few carefully chosen suppliers can elevate the experience and make it truly magical. Every element, from Juni’s understated yet glamorous jewellery to Oubas’ cozy knits and the bespoke vow booklets, added to the fairytale feel of this rustic yet elegant setting.
We hope this elopement shoot inspires couples planning a small celebration to embrace the details that make their day unique. Thoughtfully chosen elements—like Oubas’ locally produced, sustainable knitwear—add beauty, practicality, and lasting value. These heirloom-worthy pieces are more than just a one-time purchase; they become cherished keepsakes, extending the day’s magic for years to come.
