The Coal House at Woodberry Wetlands is a magnificent outdoor venue on an 11-hectare nature reserve just 10 minutes from central London.
Surrounded by the calm, shimmering waves of the reservoir and sweeping reedbeds, this spectacular backdrop and tranquil setting provide an unforgettable space for one of life’s most memorable moments.
Begin your special day by heading up the boardwalk, which offers breathtaking views of the reservoir, before an outdoor ceremony on the lawn, where they are fully licensed to host weddings and civil partnerships.
Your guests can enjoy some bubbles after the ceremony to toast the newlyweds whilst you sneak off to capture the perfect shot in the wildflower meadows of their nature reserve (and even the rooftop of the Coal House!).
Dine waterside under the canopy overlooking the tranquil reservoir, where you can indulge in outstanding food from some of London’s best caterers on their approved supplier list. Come evening, the Coal House will be transformed into a vibrant and intimate party space where you can dance the night away with your nearest and dearest.
If you want to enjoy all the wonderful benefits of being surrounded by nature whilst remaining in London, Woodberry Wetlands is the ideal wedding venue.
We are delighted to be able to close the site for full-day hire six times a year. This would give you access for setting up from 10:00, with guests arriving from midday and guests departing by midnight. Please get in touch with our events team if you would like more information on this.
Sadly, as The Coal House operates as a café during the day and is open to the public, we cannot allow setup outside your agreed hire times. However, we can take in a small box of decorations to store before your wedding day.
The bar is run by The Coal House, which can also offer a range of drink packages for your wedding day. If you have a specific wine or Champagne in mind, we would be happy to chill and serve this for you for an additional corkage fee.
All decoration and set-up must be taken offsite as soon as the event has finished, as the reserve will open back up to the public the following day.
It is possible to apply for a late license for an additional fee, giving a one-hour extension to your evening. We will need a minimum of 4 weeks' notice to process this and cannot guarantee this being approved.
