The Setting
Wolterton Hall is a truly exclusive wedding venue that offers a limited number of celebrations each year, ensuring that your wedding will be a unique and memorable event in the heart of North Norfolk. The hall, facing south, provides a picturesque view of the stunning park designed by Charles Bridgeman in the 18th century, complete with a 10-acre lake and 500 acres of fields and woodland.
The Vibe
From the moment you decide to celebrate your marriage at Wolterton Hall to the day you depart, their team will be on hand to make your experience as utterly special as possible.
The Staterooms, adorned with original marble fireplaces carved by Richard Fisher of York and intricately moulded cornices and ceilings, are a sight to behold. The American walnut for all the doors was a gift from Queen Caroline to Horatio, adding a touch of regal charm to the rooms.
Step through the full-height windows in the Saloon to take advantage of a huge 100-foot balcony with magnificent views of the lake, stepping down to the South lawns and Arcade. Then make your way downstairs to the grand Venetian room with its large arched window, all constructed in the romantic style of Classical architect Andrea Palladio. The Main Hall includes a suite of eight grand double-height staterooms with deep corniced ceilings, pedimented classical doorcases, magnificent fireplaces, large sash windows, and chandeliers.
Outdoors, there is space for up to 200 in a marquee in the estate’s grounds. Those looking for a more intimate wedding affair can dine indoors in the Saloon, accommodating up to 80. The State Dining Room offers the perfect space for a smaller party. The blend of parkland, woodland, and water, as well as the magnificent hall, is truly remarkable. There is unlimited car parking for your guests and an excellent landing area for helicopters.
An opulent State Bedroom Suite in the main hall is perfect for newlyweds to spend their wedding night in style. This luxurious room includes a super comfortable Vi-Spring bed, a unique Dormbracht rain shower, a freestanding bathtub decorated with classical alabaster panels and a champagne cupboard. Both rooms have original chandeliers.
Across the estate is an array of holiday cottages and beautifully appointed houses that can accommodate your guests—speak with the team to discuss how you can call Wolterton Park home for your celebration.
