For a sustainably stylish outdoor wedding, Wellington Wood is a woodland wedding venue with three permanent tipis fully furnished along with all the facilities, accommodation, planning, in-house prop and style service, on-the-day management and more all included.
Set within 70 acres of ancient woodland and wildflower meadows in southwest Norfolk, it offers a private, totally secluded, yet easily accessible setting where everything revolves around your magical wedding ceremony and unforgettable celebration.
Owners Paul and Vicky help you every step of the way, as much or as little as you need, to make your wedding ceremony and celebration feel totally yours with mindful, meaningful and clever inspiration to bring smiles and value all around.
There are four natural wedding ceremony areas: Woodland Circle, Meadow Circle, Naked Tipi, and the Larch, a large wooden cabin in the meadow.
The tipis are just a short walk from the ceremony. A licensed bar is set up in a rustic wooden cabin next to the tipis, and the Kitchen cabin is next to the bar to accommodate wedding catering or food trucks.
The three Giant Hat Tipis are found in a wildflower meadow. Between April and September, the Tipis are permanently set up with wooden floors, rustic trestle tables and chairs and a furnished lounge out area. Lighting, fairy lights and a magnificent giant disco ball are ready to turn on for your party.
All the set-up details have been taken care of so you can relax, be creative and add your personal style touches. No, getting bogged down with the stress of hiring the nuts and bolts, power, lighting and extra toilets. Everything is already there!
Onsite accommodation includes a bell tent glamping area with showers and toilets, two luxury shepherd’s huts with kitchen and toilet cabins, and the Forest Cottage, available from Thursday to Sunday.
Two local Norfolk Inns offer rooms for additional guest accommodation, with private minibus transport available. There are also numerous B&Bs and other places to stay nearby.
Couples are welcome to choose their own caterers, whether opting for formal dining, food trucks, or pizza vendors. Wellington Wood also provides recommendations for trusted wedding caterers.
Sustainability is at the heart of Wellington Wood. The venue minimises waste by keeping everything in one location, moving props between the ceremony and reception, and recommending local suppliers. Seasonal food, drink, and flowers are encouraged, while the Forest Cottage and Shepherd’s Huts are powered by renewable energy sources, including air-source heat pumps.
