The Setting

Just 30 minutes drive from Pisa Airport, 10 minutes from Lucca and one hour from Florence, Villa Michaela nestles in the hills of the picturesque village of Vorno at the foot of Monte Pisano.

There are frequent buses during the day to Lucca centre and Lucca station from where you can easily reach the coast (Forte dei Marmi), Pisa, Pietrasanta, Vinci, The Cinque Terre, Siena, Chianti and of course Florence. Their village has a splendid family owned trattoria within 8 minutes walk of the villa where many of their couples have a first night arrival get together.

The Vibe

Imagine vast grounds, a huge pool, Greenset tennis court, amazing hiking through private land, sunsets, an ancient pizza oven, and a picturesque country house atmosphere.

The house has many internal and external entertaining areas including an ornamental lemon garden with fountain which is perfect for  a drinks reception and speeches. They also have their large chapel adjoining the villa seating 125 with its own grand piano and fabulous acoustics.

If you prefer, you can have your ceremony outside in the beautiful rural surroundings, around the pool or next to the olive grove. You can have a silent disco until the wee hours in the chapel instead!

They are a family owned villa and therefore offer complete flexibility to suit your wishes and, unlike a hotel, have no rigid rules to follow. Many of their couples have come back to stay years after their weddings – many of them with their babies! So this is a true family friendly and family focused venue.

Partying outside under Italian law needs to stop around 12.30am, but they have a party room in their cellar.

They are English owned and run but also speak Italian, French, German and Portuguese.
