The Vibe
With its stunning surroundings and breathtaking Tuscan landscapes, Villa Michaela sets the perfect stage for your special day. Imagine expansive grounds adorned with olive groves, pine forests, and captivating views of the Apuan Alps in the distance. The villa’s serene atmosphere and captivating views make it an ideal backdrop for your wedding, creating an enchanting setting that will make any photographer’s heart sing.
Villa Michaela offers various amenities to enhance your celebration. Their swimming pool, complete with underwater illumination, provides a captivating ambiance, while the surrounding area is thoughtfully lit to create an enchanting atmosphere for your dinner/event. The villa also boasts a cool and comfortable chapel with exceptional acoustics, designed by Lorenzo Nottolini in the early 1800s, when his family resided in the Villa. This charming chapel is the perfect choice for your ceremony, whether it be religious or otherwise, especially during the hot Tuscan afternoons. You can see the exact layout of the venue on their website.
Conveniently, there are frequent buses during the day to Lucca centre and Lucca station, allowing easy access to coastal destinations like Forte dei Marmi, as well as Pisa, Pietrasanta, Vinci, The Cinque Terre, Siena, Chianti, and Florence. Additionally, the village itself features a splendid trattoria, owned by a local family, just an 8-minute walk from the villa. Many couples choose this charming spot for a first-night arrival get-together.
The house itself offers a range of indoor and outdoor spaces for entertainment, including a delightful lemon garden with a fountain, a perfect spot for a refreshing drinks reception and speeches. Adjacent to the villa, you’ll find their spacious chapel, which can accommodate up to 125 guests and features a grand piano and exceptional acoustics.
For those seeking an outdoor ceremony, Villa Michaela offers the option of exchanging vows amidst the beautiful rural surroundings, whether by the pool or beside the olive grove. Alternatively, you can host a lively silent disco until the early hours in the chapel itself!
As a family-owned villa, Villa Michaela prides itself on providing complete flexibility to suit your preferences. Unlike hotels, they don’t impose rigid rules, allowing you to personalize your wedding experience. It’s worth mentioning that many couples return to stay at the villa years after their weddings, often with their little ones in tow, highlighting the family-friendly and family-focused nature of this venue.
According to Italian law, outdoor parties should conclude around 12:30 am, but fear not! Villa Michaela has a dedicated party room in their cellar where the festivities can continue.
