Setting

Upwaltham Barns is nestled amongst the rolling hills of the South Downs National Park, one of the prettiest barn wedding venues in West Sussex. Lovingly restored, this family-owned venue exudes warmth and friendliness. The atmosphere is wonderfully welcoming and relaxed, providing a secluded country idyll that is exclusively yours on your day.

Ceremony

The light-filled East Barn has floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the South Downs to one side and the courtyard to the other. Its wooden beams and neutral colour tones are the ideal backdrop for saying ‘I do’.

Following your romantic ceremony, your guests move out into the flower-filled courtyard to mingle and enjoy a few drinks and canapés. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, with their garden Moroccan-style snug and contemporary copper-topped tables in the Stable Bar.

Reception

The spacious South Barn is the ideal setting for your reception. The wooden beams, flint stone walls and neutral colour scheme will complement any of your decorations perfectly. The barn has a warm and inviting atmosphere, whatever the season, with underfloor heating, candlelit wrought iron candelabras, seated dining for up to 150 guests and plenty of space for evening entertainment. The South Barn provides the perfect backdrop, from formal wedding breakfasts to informal barbeques.

Accommodation

Upwaltham Barns is full of charm and character, offering rustic elegance for your wedding celebrations. The pretty beamed Jasmine Cottage is yours to hire for the day and night of your wedding. Freshen up on arrival or throughout the day, and spend your first night together as a married couple.

Owned and run by family members both Nibbles2Nosh and the Stable Bar are the exclusive providers of catering and drinks at Upwaltham Barns. The teams are on hand to answer any queries, support you and offer advice from booking to the end of your wedding day.

Nibbles2Nosh provides high-quality homemade food to suit every taste and budget. From their purpose-built kitchen at Upwaltham Barns, the Nibbles2Nosh team have extensive personal knowledge of the venue and is dedicated to helping you create your perfect menu.

The Stable Bar is a fully licensed bar and drinks service at Upwaltham Barns. It provides bespoke drinks packages for your special day. Whatever your wedding style, The Stable Bar aims to find the right balance for you, allowing you to spoil your guests at an affordable price and always with a friendly smile.
