Thirsk Lodge Barns is a ‘blank canvas’ venue; so whether you want to dress it up like a fete with bunting and a coconut shy, or go mad with your florist and cover the venue with roses – it’s your day, so it’s your style!
The barn is rustic, keeping a lot of traditional features and red brick walls on show. There are lots of places to get the perfect backdrop to your wedding photos including in front of a vintage tractor or their wall of fairy lights.
This stunning exclusive use wedding venue is made up of several barns including the Main Barn, the snug Wheelhouse, the Bar, the Courtyard and the Dining Room. Therefore, you can enjoy a change of scenery as you move between your ceremony, drinks reception, wedding breakfast and then onto the dancing. The barns are all beautifully restored and show off traditional features, and the team have years of experience to help you plan your perfect day.
Welcoming up to 150 guests for the ceremony and dining, they also have availability for more guests at the evening reception.
Throughout the day, the venue is entirely yours, and you are welcome to come and set up the day before. On the big day – your wedding coordinator will be at hand to help the smooth running of the wedding – taking the pressure off you so that you can focus on relaxing and enjoying your day.
This venue offers some fun, unique extras including a wall of fairy lights in the Main Barn, garden games including Giant Jenga, and a fire pit in the courtyard for toasting marshmallows and lighting sparklers!

When you book Thirsk Lodge Barns you get exclusive use of the venue the day of your hire, and you are able to come and set up the day before as well.

We have an entertainment licence until midnight. This is when the music will stop and the bar will close, and then we will give your guests plenty of time to finish their drinks and find their taxis!
With years of experience, we will help you with every step of the planning process for your day; whether it be to advise on local suppliers, show your photographer around ahead of your big day, or help liaise with your caterer.
We are also onsite to run your day for you - ensuring all your suppliers know what they are doing and when, and making sure the timings of your day flow as you will have planned.
