The Secret Barn

Thank you so much for everything. From start to finish you have been amazing. The beautiful Secret Barn was the perfect setting. We loved our ceremony in the orchard under the gorgeous tree (anyone know what type of tree it is!?) and the barn looked absolutely stunning! The flowers were drop dead gorgeous, and everyone has said how amazing they were. The bouquets were even more beautiful than I had ever imagined. Thank you for taking my Pinterest and turning it into reality AND MORE! And the food… was completely delicious. Again, so many people have said how good it was. You are such a fantastic team and have made the whole process such a joy. I want to do the whole thing again, exactly the same. I wouldn’t change a thing. It was just perfect.

We knew when we stumbled across The Secret Barn that we’d found something special. If you’re looking for a beautiful, rustic, non-wedding-y wedding venue, then this is it. No packages, chair sashes or conveyor belt weddings – just a gorgeous barn to make your own. The setting is absolutely stunning and we feel incredibly lucky that we got to celebrate our wedding there. The planning process was relaxed and easy. Hannah is super chilled, which instantly put us at ease. Any questions or worries we had were instantly answered and we felt we were in safe hands throughout. The Petal & Feast team are all bloody lovely and definitely know their stuff. They were brilliant both in the lead up and on the day, which meant zero stress for us! The day itself was a dream. The food was delicious. The flowers were beautiful. The barn was perfect. We wouldn’t change a single thing. We had so many compliments, and our friends and family still keep talking about it. We honestly can’t recommend Hannah, Petal & Feast and The Secret Barn enough. If you’re getting married, do it here.

Where to begin? We fell in love with the barn and it’s incredible South Downs setting straight away. Hannah and the team were fantastic in the build-up, from being really responsive to our various emails, to helping us put our own special stamp on the Big Day. They completely got what we wanted and it was so reassuring to know we were in safe hands. It was fab being able to get into the barn a few days before the wedding and the team couldn’t have been more helpful. The day itself totally surpassed all expectations. We’ll never forget walking into the barn, seeing the stunning flowers, including the most gorgeous flower hoop, as the afternoon sun streamed in and we welcomed our awestruck guests. Everyone waxed lyrical about the barn, beautiful cake and amazing food, which was the best we’ve ever had at a wedding (although we would say that!). We can’t thank Hannah and the team enough – it’s a day we’ll never forget and we wish we could do it again!

Well… what can we say? We fell in love with Petal & Feast, The Barn, just everything straight away and yesterday didn’t disappoint. We and all our guests were blown away by everything. You are all so lovely, the food was amazing and my flowers were beautiful! Thank you for helping make our wedding dreams a reality and we will cherish the memories forever. Thank you!

We have had so many guests commenting on how stunning the the venue was and how fabulous the food and flowers were. We are so grateful to you all and would absolutely recommend you!

Petal & Feast are caterers, florists and run the Secret Barn in Steyning, West Sussex. The food was the best I have ever had at a wedding (big, inviting bowls of sharing salads, spit roast lamb, freshly baked breads, italian antipasti boards) all served by the P&F team (who are all delightful) – the type of dinner that feels like you’re in an Italian grandma’s house. They also have a vintage ice cream bike they serve home made ice cream from. The flowers were unbelievable and unique – an old ladder covered in foliage and peonies hung above the bar, and they covered vintage chandeliers in peonies and roses to hang from the ceiling. They were incredibly helpful throughout the planning process, answering all of our queries and helping us to arrange the more obscure aspects of a DIY-ish wedding (like hiring disabled porta-loos). They are a small team, so we really got to know them throughout planning, and they run the order of the day for you as well. The barn itself is beautiful and hidden away in West Sussex, and not particularly well known. The best wedding team ever!
