With a heritage stretching back to 1853, this imposing three-floor clubhouse-style venue is renowned in SW3 for its cosy bars, wonderful entertaining spaces and charming garden – a twinkling oasis of calm that is as welcoming in the winter as it is charming in the summer.

The Vibe

Over the years The Phene has evolved into a Chelsea institution and a unique venue in London, with a focus on providing quality food and drink in a relaxed and luxurious setting.

The Phene houses two drinks spaces, a restaurant, ground floor PDR ‘Chef’s Table’, their 1st-floor private lounge ‘The Oakley Room’ and top floor ‘Club Room’, allowing them to cater for events of many different sizes.

Their Oakley Room on the first floor can accommodate up to 36 guests seated for dinner and boasts a fully private bar, feature mirrored wall and sound system. Being just a 5-minute walk from Chelsea Old Town Hall this is the perfect intimate reception venue.

The Phene also has one of London’s finest beer gardens; their terrace is complete with comfortable sofas and chairs and is open all year round.

The team are here to support you with every decision before the big day. Their little black book is bursting with contacts, and they are more than happy to recommend cake makers, florists, photographers and the finishing touches like party favours or balloons. They manage the whole day, from setting up the room until after the guests go home.

They have no hire fee at the Phene, only a minimum spend requirement, meaning more of your budget can go towards the food and drink for your guests. Their menus are bursting with fresh and seasonal ingredients, with a range of catering options available, from a choice of set menus, to canapés or bowl food. In the run up to your wedding their events team and Head of Wine will be on hand to help you choose the perfect food and drink options for your special day.

At the Phene they pride themselves on being able to make your day a memorable one, and will happily cater for any dietary requirements that you may have.

I would like to extend a very warm thank you for our wedding reception last Friday evening. I would also like to let you know that prior to the event, Dani was just fantastic. She really took the time to understand the budget limitations and was generally honest about the food selection. I had my wedding reception at the Phene this weekend and I can’t recommend the venue enough. Despite putting on another wedding earlier that day, everything was beautifully pulled together and ran according to plan – how they manage it I’ll never know! We had 38 guests which was the perfect size for the recently renovated and tastefully decorated, Oakley Room. Dani, our events manager was hands on and went above and beyond to help with all the details on the day. The suppliers she recommended for after parties and flowers were spot on. And, the food and service on the day was outstanding. Thanks to the whole team for making our day so special!
