Little Seed Field

My partner and I got married at the Little Seed Field at the end of July this year. This was the first venue we viewed one year ago, and we instantly fell in love with the views and setting and knew instantly this was the place for us. There is such a tranquil, peaceful feel and perfect for any kind of wedding.

We got married near the jetty by the pond and hired a tipi on the land beside it. We had an intimate wedding with 16 guests who all stayed in the pods. We had so much fun all weekend, lighting the firepits, BBQs, playing games, and watching the sunrise. The area is so open and beautiful. We all thoroughly enjoyed it.

There are so many beautiful photo opportunities. The swing was my personal favourite. There are also so many rustic areas and beautiful coloured fields for the best photos.

The cabins were immaculate! Beautiful, clean and so cosy. The bed was extremely comfy, and the shower was amazing! There is everything you need in the communal Kitchen area, and it was kept to such a high standard of cleanliness in the whole venue.

Jo was amazing from the start. She helped us with everything we needed to know and recommended the best vendors in the area. Jo went above and beyond for us the whole weekend. She made sure everything was perfect and took so much pride in her work, and she is extremely organised.

I would highly recommend choosing this venue for your wedding. You are in good hands with Jo! She is amazing. I wish I could do it all again!

We will be returning for our future anniversaries. We cannot thank The Little Seed enough for giving us the best day of our lives!

Married July 2023

We chose Little Seed Field for our intimate wedding during the last weekend of May 2023.

We came across the venue online, and we are so thankful that we did. From the initial communication, I was made to feel completely at ease; everything was explained well, and I knew that our special day would be in great hands.

We stayed for two nights. The facilities were immaculate.

Joanne was an angel throughout the whole process. From organising the flowers, witnesses, food and countless other responsibilities, we piled onto her. She worked so incredibly hard to ensure our wedding and stay was the best it could be.

The venue is breathtaking. We are a very ‘outdoorsy’ family who regularly go camping, so have experienced some gorgeous scenery over the years. Honestly, Little Seed Field is something else.

We can’t wait to come back!

Married May 2023

The best part about having our wedding at Little Seed Field is the relationship we have built with Joanne and the sentimental connection we have with the land. We have stayed in the cabins previously, celebrated our engagement in the snow there and will be able to return in the future to admire the beauty of the location and remember our day together. We were able to achieve our absolute dream wedding day at Little Seed Field – wild, natural and relaxed.

I have shown so many people our beautiful pictures and we absolutely loved the intimate setting of the place for our elopement. The accommodation is one of the best that we have ever had and it made our time there even more special! The best day of our life and we definitely feel smug telling everyone that we got to have the moment all to ourselves.

Being a newly engaged couple, when we spoke about our wedding, we knew instantly we wanted to elope to somewhere beautiful, and my goodness, did the Owl Barn deliver! From the very first contact with Joanne, she was absolutely brilliant. Her laid-back and friendly attitude just solidified our choice to pick her beautiful venue for our wedding. It was a very quick turnaround from us getting engaged to booking the wedding 12 weeks after, but I can honestly say it was so enjoyable and stress-free planning it with the help of Joanne. Our big day came, and with 7 of our friends, we celebrated our marriage together. Down to the smallest detail, everything was just perfect and even better than we ever imagined. The Owl Barn and Little Seed Field will always have the most special place in our hearts, and we can’t wait to make yearly visits and stay over in the beautiful cabins to relive a part of our special day.

Wow, what a venue! It had absolutely everything we needed for our perfect day. An intimate ceremony in the beautiful barn with drinks in the courtyard for immediate friends and family, use of the large field at the top of the site for our large drinks reception and wedding breakfast, guest glamping in the field next to the marquee and a breakfast BBQ down by the ponds the following day. Our guests were even treated to a show of the cows on their way too and from milking.

The site is stunning, the perfect Yorkshire picture and the cabins are really lovely – ideal for our first night as a married couple.

Joanne was a complete super star, nothing was too big an ask, and I particularly appreciated her helping ferry me (the bride) and bridesmaids around the site on the day!

We booked Little Seed Fields for our wedding and it is a stunningly gorgeous venue – the views, the rustic dry stone walls and trees make it a really unique and amazing spot. We fell in love with the place immediately and words cannot describe how perfect it was for our wedding. Joanne runs the venue and is incredibly calm, supportive and resourceful. Her help was absolutely invaluable as she seemed to magic away our worries and last-minute problems! Our families and guests loved glamping and camping, and there’s no doubt we will be returning to the beautiful cosy glamping cabins for many anniversaries to come!!

Cannot recommend Little Seed Field highly enough! Joanne and Sean were so kind and helpful through the whole (should be) stressful process of organising and executing a wedding in a barn/field. They made everything super easy. Would recommend anyone organising an event to stay in glamping huts, our guests loved them. The scenery is just stunning and with a little imagination and creativity the farm can be turned into something truly magical. Simply amazing. Thank you!

From the moment we met Joanne and saw the unbelievable setting, we knew that we’d found the perfect venue to host our wedding day.

A DIY wedding can feel like a daunting task, but the natural beauty of the location was so incredible we knew that whatever we did, it would be stunning regardless. From the resident owl to the wild grasses, the pond life, to the amazing view – our 70 guests were just as blown away with how beautiful it was as we were.

Joanne was fabulous from start to finish, always on hand with help and advice and was an absolute powerhouse on the day itself, pulling out all the stops to ensure we had the most memorable day possible. We didn’t want to conform to all the traditions and wanted to create a day around us, which Joanne and this venue actively encourages. No idea was too big or too difficult. We were able to plan our day exactly as we wanted it, decorating exactly how we envisioned and using all the suppliers we preferred. If we were to do it all again, we wouldn’t change a single thing, and we can’t wait to return to celebrate special occasions for years to come.
