The Oak Grove is an ecologically sustainable woodland wedding venue, designed for couples seeking a laid-back summer celebration with unforgettable charm. Surrounded by farmland and nestled between two peaceful villages, the venue sits on five acres of beautiful countryside, right on the ancient Saxon Shore Way along the banks of the River Medway.
This natural, unspoilt setting feels miles from anywhere, yet it’s just 10 minutes from Rainham Station, with high-speed rail links to London, making it effortlessly accessible for guests coming from near or far.
Celebrate under the canopy of the trees in their three elegant stretch tents, complete with wooden floor and warm lighting. The space is ideal for up to 132 seated guests and 180 for an evening party, blending the beauty of the outdoors with the comfort of a professionally equipped venue.
All tables, chairs and essential furnishings are included, creating a stylish base that’s ready to go, but still flexible enough for you to add your own personal touches. As night falls, lit trees and the gentle woodland atmosphere set the tone for a relaxed, magical evening.
The Oak Grove believes in flexibility, so you’re free to bring in your favourite caterers, food trucks, or even let friends and family help with the feast. You’ll have full access to the woodland kitchen, as well as glassware, crockery, and cutlery to keep things simple.
And the drinks? That’s where they shine. Alongside their fully licensed antique bar, you’ll find their much-loved covered outdoor cocktail bar; a beautiful, weatherproof space where your guests can gather, mingle, and enjoy expertly mixed drinks beneath the trees, no matter what the weather brings.

At The Oak Grove, sustainability has been part of their ethos from the very beginning.
Since 2010, they’ve been running on renewable energy, utilising solar panels, smart battery storage, and clean wind power to keep everything running smoothly, from lighting to chilled drinks.
Around 80% of the energy they use is renewable. This year, they’re expanding their solar capacity and increasing their storage to reduce their reliance on the grid further. It’s all part of their long-term commitment to minimising the environmental impact and to offering couples a wedding day that’s quite literally powered by sunshine.
Nestled between the quiet villages of Upchurch and Lower Halstow, The Oak Grove sits in a beautiful pocket of rural North Kent. The surrounding area is rich in natural beauty and steeped in history, featuring rolling farmland, ancient woodlands, and the meandering River Medway, which creates a peaceful and picturesque landscape.
