The stunning 18th Century Oak Barn is nestled in a beautiful valley below the village of Benenden in an enviable rural position within Kent’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Located at Frame Farm, it has easy access by road from the M25 via the A21 and nearby towns of Tunbridge Wells, Maidstone and Ashford. By train London Bridge to Staplehurst Station, takes 45 minutes giving access to the venue in just over an hour.
The Oak Barn, Frame Farm is the perfect eco-venue for your bespoke wedding set in a beautiful countryside location.
Located at Frame Farm, a traditional farmstead of 25 acres, the recent restoration retains all the historic features and provides a stunning, versatile space for your wedding. The Oak Barn has a magnificent high vaulted roof, amazing views of the surrounding countryside and a cosy wood burning stove, giving you every modern convenience in a beautifully traditional building that is perfect in all seasons.
The Byre, and its terrace has breath-taking views down the valley and is ideal for hosting your civil ceremony, partnership or renewal of vows. Glass doors now enclose this open fronted animal shelter and in fine weather you can enjoy a celebratory drink on the terrace and around the lily pond.
The Pole Barn, their large open fronted barn offers a more rustic style and comes complete with fairy lights and power. Used as a wood store and home to a working 1956 Fordson Major tractor, the chopped wood, original oak door from The Oak Barn and rusty decorative screens make this another unique location for nuptial vows, photographs and games within the farmyard.
The luxurious Weaver’s Cottages dating from 1607, can accommodate 20 people and includes six cottages. Their sumptuous bridal cottages are perfect for brides and their bridesmaids to prepare for their grand entrance.
Yes we do. The farm is exclusively yours for one day or a whole weekend commencing on Friday for set up and dinner and then finishing after breakfast/brunch on Sunday.
We have a list of approved caterers who are all excellent. If they can't cater for your requirements, then we would be more than happy to chat to you about an external caterer.
Yes, a new law was passed last year which states that marriage ceremonies can now happen outside at licensed venues. This means you can have your ceremony on our beautiful terrace, in front of the waterfall and pond, with your guests seated next to the stunning valley.
Yes, we have 6 cottages, which can sleep up to 20 guests, and they are located across the courtyard from The Oak Barn.
Yes, because the barns were once derelict we hid high tech systems throughout when we rebuilt them. We have under floor heating in both barns, and a wood burner and air conditioning in The Oak Barn. Both barns have a Bose sound system and high spec lighting. In The Oak Barn we even have coloured floor lights to set the scene in the evening.
We are a working farm with livestock, and we would love to have your dog at the farm on a lead for your ceremony and photos, but then they would have to be taken off site when you go into your Wedding Breakfast, and they would not be able to stay with you overnight. This is due to allergies that our future couples may have. It's also worth noting that if you do wish your dog to be a part of your wedding ceremony then there is a certain number of criteria that you would have to fulfil for the Kent County Council to approve this, and we can certainly discuss this in more detail at your viewing.
