The Moat House

This was our second perfect wedding day at The Moat House, which is situated in the beautiful Staffordshire countryside. We cannot thank the staff enough for their professionalism, their kindness and their flexibility throughout the planning and preparation stages, and with the date changes and rearrangements due to the pandemic! The Acton Suite was amazing, so beautifully laid out for both the ceremony and the wedding breakfast. Josh and I would like to thank Chloe and the Moathouse staff for looking after us so well all day. This day will remain very special to us, a perfect way to start married life.

Chloe was very helpful when it come to organising our big day and if we had any queries she was only an email or phone call away. The big day ran smoothly and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to have our big day. Also to have our dogs at our wedding was a key thing for us. They are our family and we wouldn’t want to celebrate our love without them. The Moat House is dog friendly, and they walked down the aisle with dog chaperones company *thatspawperfect*

From start to finish we have had such a fantastic experience with the Moat House. Our wedding was a dream and ran so smoothly. All of the staff were fantastic and they went above and beyond for us. The food was consistent and fantastic throughout the whole day with lots of compliments. We got married in the Orangery which was so bright and beautiful. I am so thrilled we chose to go with the Moat House who gave us our dream wedding. Would highly recommend!

From the very first time we set foot into The Moat House we both knew right then that this was our perfect venue to host our wedding. We first booked with them in 2019 for our 2022 wedding which thankfully was not affected by covid. All the staff at The Moat House are ever so friendly and helpful. They were always so willing to help with anything and we are so thankful for Chloe, Nichola and the whole wedding team doing what they do best to make our day so special. For anyone looking for a really beautiful venue with some amazing sights and photo opportunities, The Moat House is definitely the place for you.

What an amazing day we had. The staff and venue made our day magical . Chloe and all of the wedding team were great with us over the previous 2 years as our original date was postponed due to covid . They were so helpful throughout the whole time and anything we asked or needed was no trouble at all. The venue is simply stunning we knew from day one the Moat House would be our special place. We would highly recommend anyone to book the Moat House for their special day.

My wife and myself are truly over the moon with our wedding on the 30th May 2022. The Moat House were outstanding on all the organisation from start to finish. Chloe you were amazing with all my emails and keeping me calm through the whole planning stages. We are on cloud 9 and our day was truly magical and one memory that will last forever.

We knew from the very first time we visited the Moat House back in 2019 that we wanted to get married here! It is an absolutely beautiful venue, perfect for the cosy and rustic autumnal wedding we had in mind, but also stunning year-round. There are so many options and choices and it is so easy to really personalise your day – so many ceremony spaces, personally I highly recommend the Orangery, overlooking the canal, it was flooded with wonderful natural light on our sunny wedding day and looked incredible. The team were awesome in the months of planning, always happy to answer our many questions and offer great advice. On the day, everything came together so perfectly and we and our guests were looked after so well. It really was everything we hoped for and more. We absolutely made the right choice in choosing to get married here, the Moat House has become really special to us and we can’t wait to come back to visit.

We cannot recommend The Moat House highly enough following our wedding in July. From the initial meeting with the wedding team through to the wedding day itself, the venue and its staff were professional, accommodating and supportive. Despite numerous date changes (third time lucky!) and the uncertainty as a result of the pandemic, the staff were great and responded to all of our questions, queries and alterations promptly.

The venue itself offers so much, from its idyllic setting and surroundings to the grounds and buildings themselves. The Colin Lewis suite proved to be the perfect space for our Ceremony, enabling us to share our special moment with a small number of family and friends. With its exposed rustic oak beams, it required little more decoration. The Acton Suite provided a modern and spacious setting for the evening reception, safely and comfortably (based on the easing of the pandemic restrictions) accommodating our additional guests, with access to the patio area and the canal side to the rear. Our guests were extremely complimentary of the grounds and the venue, including the bedrooms for those that stayed.

The food offered on the day was amazing. Having sampled the menu options beforehand (menu tasting included in package), we were able to select our favourite meal for our guests and the catering team were able to accommodate the diverse dietary requirements. The ice-cream cart was also a big hit with guests (and ourselves) given the sunny weather! We are truly grateful to all of those who were involved in making our wedding day perfect!
