Based on a weekday wedding in January.

The Great Tythe Barn rests within open Cotswold countryside, where fields and farmland stretch out around a 17th-century Grade II listed barn on the edge of Tetbury. There is a quiet sense of history here, shaped by the building’s age and its rural surroundings, with space and sky framing the setting throughout the day.
Close enough to Tetbury to feel connected, yet defined by its own sense of place, the barn offers a setting that balances heritage with comfort. The surrounding buildings and grounds come together as a cohesive whole, giving couples the freedom to shape celebrations that feel personal, whether lively and expansive or more considered in scale.
From the earliest planning stages, the experience is supported by a dedicated team whose knowledge of the venue guides each decision, keeping the setting at the heart of the day.
Ceremonies take place within the barn or, in good weather, outdoors beneath the Oak Pavilion. Inside, the space accommodates up to 180 guests, offering a single setting where everyone can gather for the moment itself.
Following the ceremony, drinks can be served on the lawn or within the barn’s Gallery, allowing the day to move naturally between spaces. The venue is arranged to work in all weather conditions, with drinks packages and canapés provided by selected catering partners.
For the wedding breakfast, the ground floor accommodates up to 180 guests, with tables arranged throughout the barn. The Estcourt space offers an additional option for more intimate dining, seating up to 80. After the meal and speeches, tea and coffee are served while the bar remains open.
As evening begins, the barn shifts into a larger reception space for up to 350 guests. A stage and wooden dance floor provide room for live music or a DJ, with evening food available to sustain the celebrations.
At the end of the day, guests can stay on-site in a range of accommodation options for up to 90 people. These include self-catering cottages, bed-and-breakfast rooms, and the five-star Tythe House, allowing groups to stay together and keep travel simple.
Food is provided by four selected caterers, each chosen for the quality of their menus and front-of-house service. Couples can explore a range of styles and menus to suit the tone of their day, with support from experienced teams who understand the venue.
Tetbury lies just minutes away, with larger towns and cities, including Bath, Bristol, Gloucester, and Cheltenham, within easy reach. The surrounding Cotswolds provide a broad setting for a wedding weekend, whether guests arrive for the day or stay longer in the area.
