Our guests loved the food, as did we. We were slightly worried about the quantity and having hungry guests, particularly as we didn’t choose to have canapés earlier, but there was so much food at the end, which was great. And it was delicious!
The layout of the room was perfect, and it was clear the team made an effort for us – for example, we left some Lavender that we didn’t know what to do with, and the team had placed it so beautifully on the tables and around the room.

We hired the top floor of The Elgin for our Wedding Reception recently and were amazed at the service received. The whole team behind the scenes was incredible at communicating with us ahead of the big day to ensure everything was as we wanted. They answered all of our questions very quickly and decorated the space beautifully. The food was absolutely brilliant on the day – all of our guests commented on how delicious it was. We had around 30 guests for the reception, and 30 more joined for the evening. The space was perfect for this amount of people. The team were so accommodating and made our day incredibly special. The minimum spend can be made up of both food and drink that is pre-ordered, bar tab amounts and any guest purchases made on the day of the event.
No, the hire fee is not part of the minimum spend, and the service charge goes directly to our hard-working team working your reception.
We can accommodate 80 seated/100 standing upstairs and 40 seated/140 standing downstairs.
We can allow bands at our venue. However, we have some rules on this; they must be no bigger than a 3-piece, there must be no percussion or brass instruments, and they must be placed through our built-in PA system if they require sound to be amplified (we don’t allow any external speakers), and they must be finished by 10pm. This may seem like a lot of rules. However, it is to ensure we keep within our license restrictions. You are welcome to have a DJ or a playlist right until the end of your event.
To secure the date, we require the hire fee in full and a deposit of 25% of the minimum spend. Once you are ready to book, you will receive a payment link to pay by debit/credit card and an online contract to sign.
