The Setting

A breathtaking Grade I listed manor house combined with ancient castle ruins and magnificent grounds. This unique venue enjoys a rich history and has been connected to many notable figures in the past.

Located in the village of Westenhanger, between Ashford and Folkestone, it has excellent transport links via the M20 and a train station within walking distance.

Suitable for both intimate and large weddings, with capacity for up to 120 ceremony guests. For 2024 weddings, packages start from £8,150 based on 50-day guests and up to 200 evening guests.

Packages include exclusive venue hire, a dedicated wedding coordinator, reception drinks, your wedding meal, wine for the guests, an evening buffet, a professional DJ, access to their exclusive online wedding planning tool, and much more.

You will have a choice of three stunning licensed ceremony areas. These include the thatched gazebo on the castle lawn, the banqueting hall in the castle, or the bright and spacious marquee.

After the ceremony, toast your nuptials in their private bar before feasting on an unforgettable wedding breakfast in the marquee, with views of the castle ruins, manor house and beyond.

The in-house chefs pride themselves on providing a first-class dining experience, using only the freshest ingredients. They will collaborate with you to create a menu that will delight your guests, catering to all styles and culinary preferences. Enjoy a three-course feast, hog roast, or BBQ across a range of cuisines.

We had our wedding here at the end of May 2021. The building is beautiful, the food is delicious but it’s the staff that really make this venue 5 star. In my view, you couldn’t have a better setting for your wedding but you never know what your day will really be like. Tania has been so supportive, kind, and facilitative beforehand. Tania and Jackie on the day were nothing short of dedicated and then there are all the other staff like Alice on the day who just can’t do enough to help. The castle has several beautiful options for the ceremony and you are spoilt for choice whatever the weather. The food was commented on by all our guests to not only be delicious but big portions too! Your day at The Castle Westenhanger will be wonderful, rest assured. The staff will insist on it!

We held our wedding at Westenhanger Castle on 4th June 2021, after delaying a year due to Covid. The team were always so responsive and answered any questions posed to them. On the day of our wedding Tania, Jackie and team could not have done any more. They made sure our guests and us were always looked after at all times. Absolutely fabulous service. The food was tasty, the portions large and was served hot. We held the whole wedding in the Manor House and this is a perfect setting for a smaller wedding. Would 100% highly recommend Westenhanger Castle, stunning location, wonderful staff and a very relaxed atmosphere.
