The Barn at Upcote

Words cannot describe how perfect this venue is. We first viewed the barn back in November 2019 and fell in love with it the moment we saw it even in the pouring rain. We had our big day a few weeks back and I could not picture getting married anywhere else. The staff are so welcoming and made us feel at ease every step of the way! (even when my husband’s suit split they were on hand with a sewing kit for us). If you are looking for an intimate venue with amazing staff and stunning views then look no further than The Barn at Upcote.

Where do we start with this incredible venue? The place is beautiful, a blank canvas to decorate how we wanted it for our wedding! The Barn speaks for itself; even without any additional decoration, it is simply stunning. There are no words for how fantastic the staff are! From the moment we chose Upcote, every meeting, email and phone call we had helped us no end and made the whole experience easy!! Nothing was ever too much trouble. On our wedding day it was seamless, the day went without a hitch and the staff were there for absolutely everything, you barely even knew they were there but we knew full well they were working so hard in the background sorting everything out for us. You guys are amazing and thank you so much for making our wedding day as special as it was. All of the staff made us feel like we were sharing our day with lifelong friends who knew us inside and out, getting things right and a lot of the time this was without even needing to ask. These girls don’t just act like wedding venue staff, they become so invested in your day you forget that they aren’t actually part of your wedding party! Google will only allow us to give 5 stars, we would give you a 100 if we could. Thank you again

Where to begin? The venue and the whole team are absolutely exceptional.

Our wedding was magical, and this is largely due to the barn’s staff – the degree to which they helped us throughout all the planning and on the day itself couldn’t be overstated. All members of the team really proved that it is not the venue that is important; it’s the people who run it.

We thought we could be biased, seeing that it was our own wedding, but our guests independently said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. We are all glowing from it one week on, and we couldn’t thank the barn’s staff more.

Right from our first visit to the barn, you have been absolute stars, so much so, you were the only venue we viewed. You answered all of our many many questions and put at ease any qualms we had. What a venue! We got married here in May, and everything was absolutely perfect. Cannot speak highly enough of the entire team who went above and beyond in the lead up to the day and on the day itself! Everyone in the team is so knowledgeable, professional and friendly, they made the day an absolute dream.

Not only were the staff amazing, but the venue itself is just perfect! Beautiful and secluded, with enough space for everything you could need, but not so spaced out that you are losing everyone! Would absolutely recommend Upcote!

The Barn at Upcote is quite simply the most beautiful venue. From the very first moment we saw it online, we just knew — there was no point even looking anywhere else. It is a stunningly converted barn set in the most breathtaking location, and it truly feels magical.

And then there are the ladies who run it — Amy, Alice, Hannah, and Nadia — who are pure magic themselves! They are incredibly professional, so friendly, and always at the end of an email to answer questions. From start to finish, they were so invested in making sure we had the most wonderful day that ran seamlessly. I felt completely supported throughout our entire wedding planning journey, and I genuinely couldn’t have done it without them.

They truly listened to us and brought our vision to life in the most perfect way. I will never forget the feeling of walking into the main barn and seeing the wedding breakfast set up in full for the first time. It was utterly magical. You can tell that every wedding they host means something to them. This isn’t just a job; they care deeply about every couple, and on the day, they feel more like guests at your wedding than staff.

Our day ran so smoothly, and we are so incredibly grateful for everything they did to make it so special. From start to finish, it felt like we had been transported into our own little bubble, truly the stuff of dreams.

The honeymoon suite deserves a special mention. It is absolutely perfect and so helpful to have on the day. It gave the bridesmaids somewhere to touch up, a place to leave bags, and even somewhere peaceful for our toddler and nieces to take turns having naps (with adult supervision!). We also found it to be the perfect spot for the two of us to run off to for a bit of peace and quiet, to collect ourselves and take a breather before returning back out to all our guests. The giant bath tub was greatly appreciated at the end of the night, we were so excited to get straight into it once everyone had left and debrief about the day! Also, the bed! The bed is unbelievably comfortable, we had one of the best nights’ sleep we’ve had in a long time (parents will understand!).

Waking up the next morning was just as dreamy. Being able to take in the venue quietly, just the two of us, reminiscing about the day and night before over a cup of coffee with Amy, was the most perfect ending to our wedding experience. The staff are so sweet, genuine, and caring, it honestly felt like saying goodbye to friends!

Thank you so much. We will never be able to thank you enough, and we will never stop shouting about how incredible you all are. The Barn at Upcote holds such a special place in our hearts.

Everything all in one place made the day so convenient. And the beautiful style is timeless. We knew the moment we walked in that this was “the one”. And now the Stars that run the show, and you can’t beat them. They made the whole experience from start to finish seamless. They helped make our vision come true, and were on hand for any questions we had and helped ease all our nerves on the day. Stunning wedding venue with a fabulous team!

We booked this venue for our wedding reception this June. The communication from the team throughout was great. No question was too silly. The wedding day ran so smoothly, and everything was set up perfectly. I couldn’t have done a better job decorating myself.

The secret garden was perfect for couples’ photos, and the stairs made getting a photo of all our guests easy. I would highly recommend this venue.

My wife and I looked for venues all over the Cotswolds, but ultimately chose The Barn at Upcote for its beauty and facilities, and largely because the team was very communicative and welcoming. From our first few emails, they were very attentive to everything that we wanted, and they found ways they make it happen for us. They made the whole process a joy and significantly easier than we were expecting. On the day of the wedding, the team kicked it up a gear and was all over the event, coordinating with multiple vendors, photographers, videographers, and guests to ensure that the whole wedding went smoothly and flawlessly.

The best! The team were amazing and made our dream day! Our caterer cancelled on us the day of the wedding, and the Barn could not have been more amazing at helping us locate a new caterer along with all the other things we needed help with. The day was made completely stress-free for us and was just perfect. Also, such a gorgeous venue that we just fell in love with. Cannot recommend more highly!
