The Barn at Upcote is set amid the serene and timeless Cotswold countryside. Surrounded by rolling hills and a central courtyard lawn, this exclusive-use venue offers a peaceful and intimate escape. The barns’ rustic charm creates a seamless blend of history and natural beauty.
The Threshing Barn, along with the Courtyard lawn, provides space for up to 100 guests to witness your vows. For a more intimate setting, the Grain Store and Cart Lodge are available. The venue also offers a range of seating layouts, allowing couples to customise their ceremony setup. Additionally, several churches in the local Coln River group of parishes, as well as in nearby Cheltenham, are available for those seeking a traditional religious service
The Threshing Barn can seat up to 100 guests for your reception, with the option of either round or long tables. For a more informal dining experience, tables can be arranged across the venue, allowing guests to grab a plate and choose their own seating. The Grain Store also offers a more intimate space, with seating for up to 50 guests, again with the option of round or long tables. For entertainment, the venue is flexible, whether you’re looking for a jukebox, a live band, or a wedding DJ, ensuring an unforgettable evening for all.
Couples can enjoy the Hay Barn Honeymoon Suite, included in the venue hire rate, offering a serene space to unwind after the celebrations. For the wedding party, it’s a perfect place to prepare and take a moment throughout the day. There is accommodation for guests in a camping area with three pods, and more tent and campervan spaces are available. For more traditional options, Cheltenham, just minutes away, provides an array of hotels, B&Bs, and self-catering options.
The Barn at Upcote offers flexibility with catering, partnering with five preferred caterers: Ross & Ross Food, Epic, The Cotswold Caterer, Orchard Catering, and Birch Catering. These caterers can provide both the wedding breakfast and evening food, though couples may choose to bring in a different caterer for the evening, provided one of the preferred caterers is used for the main meal.
For drinks, the venue has a no-corkage policy, allowing couples to bring their own champagne, prosecco, beers, wines, and soft drinks for the reception, wedding breakfast, and toast. After the wedding breakfast, the venue bar takes over, offering a range of beverages with various payment options available.
Cheltenham, Cirencester, and Gloucester are the venue’s closest towns, providing a wide range of options for accommodation and places to eat before and after your wedding. A number of local villages, such as Withington, Andoversford, and Northleach, also provide accommodation.
