Perched at the highest point of the North Downs Way in the Surrey Hills, just outside London, The Barn at Botley Hill is a hidden gem. A spectacular wedding venue with panoramic countryside views of the rolling acres of farmland, it is positioned within. Floor-to-ceiling windows and surrounding gardens allow guests to take in views and unforgettable sunsets year-round.
The venue has three distinct event spaces. The Main Barn: A contemporary space with floor-to-ceiling glass and steel-framed windows, perfect for dining and celebrations. The Baby Barn: A cosy lounge-style area for relaxed receptions, drinks, or as a reception buffer area. The Oakley Barn: A charming red-brick ceremony space, fully licensed for civil ceremonies. In addition to the indoor areas, the venue offers landscaped gardens, a wooden terrace, fire pits, a wood-burning stove, a pavilion/gazebo, and fairy-lit decking offer versatile areas for outdoor ceremonies or mingling. They also have a private getting-ready space, the Hayloft, for brides or grooms to get ready, as well as on-site accommodation.

The beautiful red brick Oakley Barn is licensed for civil ceremonies, so you can host your legal wedding ceremony at The Barn at Botley Hill. The great thing about having a dedicated ceremony space is that you do not have to worry about multiple room turnarounds, and the space is close enough to the Main Barn to easily repurpose decor for the rest of the day.
The lower lawn is also licensed for wedding ceremonies and offers a stunning outdoor ceremony setting with the backdrop of the Surrey Hills.
The Barn at Botley Hill offers a collection of beautifully designed reception spaces that flow effortlessly from one to the next, allowing couples to create a celebration that feels relaxed, sociable and thoughtfully paced. Each space has its own distinct character, while sharing the same breathtaking backdrop of the Surrey Hills.
The Main Barn is the heart of the celebration. A light-filled, contemporary space with floor-to-ceiling windows, reclaimed wood panelling and vaulted ceilings, it frames the panoramic views beyond and needs very little styling. By day, it sets the scene for elegant wedding breakfasts or relaxed feasting; by night, it transforms seamlessly into an atmospheric party space with a built-in bar. As the light fades outside, the room takes on a warm, inviting glow, perfect for music, dancing and late-night celebrations.
The Baby Barn provides a more intimate and flexible space, ideal for drinks receptions, cocktail hour or evening mingling. Opening directly onto the decking and gardens, it encourages guests to move freely between indoor and outdoor spaces. Often used for welcome drinks, canapés, dessert stations or live music, it plays a key role in keeping the energy flowing throughout the day.
Outside, the decking and landscaped gardens extend the reception spaces, offering uninterrupted views across the rolling Surrey Hills. In warmer months, guests can spill outside with drinks in hand, enjoy canapés at sunset or gather for golden-hour photographs. The decking is a popular spot for cocktail hour, live musicians or relaxed seating, while the gardens provide a stunning natural backdrop for group photos and informal mingling.

Botley Hill’s three luxury Shepherd Huts are fully equipped with the necessities of modern life while retaining an old-world charm. They offer a unique countryside stay experience. Each has a double bed, a kitchenette, an en-suite shower, and a log burner.
Their neighbours, The Botley Hill Farmhouse, are renovating four double bedrooms above the restaurant, which are within walking distance of the venue and available for Summer 2026.

From 2027 onward, The Barn at Botley Hill is excited to announce their exclusive partnership with luxury catering company, Jimmy Garcia. New for 2027, Jimmy Garcia has built an open-fire kitchen, allowing guests to witness the magic of flame and smoke as free-range chickens turn slowly over the flames, lamb shoulders are gently smoked, and vibrant, seasonal salads and vegetables are prepared with care. Every dish is crafted with love, reflecting Jimmy’s ethos of bringing people together through exceptional food and unforgettable experiences.
For the remaining 2026 dates, The Barn at Botley Hill offers a choice of approved caterers. They are all highly recommended, experienced wedding caterers who pride themselves on their high-end staffing and sustainability. Each has inside knowledge of what works best in the venue, giving couples the freedom to create their dream day knowing they are in safe hands.

The nearest train station in Oxted is only ten minutes away, with direct trains from London Victoria, London Bridge and Clapham Junction.
