The Barn at Avington

We picked The Barn as it had an absolutely stunning location by the river, and it was a venue that allowed us to have the wedding we wanted, not the rinse and repeat we had found other venues seemed to offer. And, a huge selling point was the fact we could involve our dogs, which is something none of the other venues we viewed also seemed to offer.

Beth was absolutely amazing both before, during and even after our wedding. She really makes this venue 5*.

I would highly recommend The Barn to anyone thinking of getting married. I don’t think we would have had such an amazing day if we’d chosen another venue.

The Barn at Avington and Beth made our dreams come true, what more could you want! My husband and I (!) loved every second of our wedding day surrounded by the most beautiful countryside with several amazing photo spots, Beth and her incredible support and the ability to truly make the space in and surrounding the barn reflect our vision. The Barn at Avington was the perfect blank space to allow us to make the venue uniquely about us and set in unbeatable Hampshire countryside, it was the only venue we visited that actually got us excited! The on-site accommodation gives you plenty of time to enjoy the run up to your wedding day with your family and friends – who are then all on hand to help you get creative with the space and make it your own!

It was a no brainer really as it pretty much ticked every box – accommodation on site, blank canvas venue, beautiful ceremony area. We didn’t want our wedding to be just one day – thank you and see you later. Most venues we looked at were 24hr churn and burns. We wanted to make more of a weekend with friends and family involved. The Barn at Avington offered the package of the venue and accommodation for a whole week which is just so amazing. Being very hands on and creative ourselves, it meant that we could do exactly what we wanted with the space – which was to decorate the venue ourselves. You can do as much or as little as you want at the Barn, either sourcing teams to style and set up your wedding for you, or you can DIY it. By doing all of it (with Beth – the Event Manager) meant that we could make savings where we wanted. But most importantly, it meant that friends and family got involved and helped put everything together with personal touches.
