Setting
The Barn at Avington resides on a working farm near Winchester, Hampshire. Set in a peaceful location alongside the River Itchen, it is enveloped by a 400-acre farm, home to many horses in the livery. Overhead, swans glide gracefully while deer stroll through ‘The Glade,’ their secret and secluded luxury glamping site.
Support comes from Stacey Page Weddings and her team, an award-winning independent wedding planner and coordinator. They ensure a seamless experience and provide incredible service throughout the planning stages and on the special day itself.
Reception
Their industrial barn has been transformed into a cool and light space, which is your blank canvas to style as you wish. Designed with couples in mind, they offer something truly unique at The Barn at Avington as they believe a wedding ‘day’ is never enough and that each couple should feel truly special. They have a limited number of dates each year so that you can spend a full week at The Barn. Getting ready should be part of the fun, the celebration should go on for days, and there always needs to be time for reflection (and sharing those stories about who did the most embarrassing dance moves!).
Accommodation
Friends and family are invited to stay in the cottages and glamping site, suiting those wanting a festival-style wedding or long wedding weekend.
Getting There
The venue’s accessibility is a highlight, located just 10 minutes from the M3 and 15 minutes from Winchester train station, which offers regular trains to London.
Directions to the venue are straightforward. Guests should pass Avington Park, the notable white house, on their right. After a short distance, they will come to a bend or T-junction and should bear left. They will pass Avington Golf Course on the right, continuing until they see a house on the left. Guests should not take the first left into the yard (Park Farm) but rather the next left, followed by an immediate left to park next to The Barn.
