Talbooth Restaurant is set beside the River Stour in Dedham, with its timber-framed building giving you a clear view of the water and lawns. The location is easily reached from London Liverpool Street by train. A boat can also be hired if you want something extra during your time there.
Three event planners provide support, and a dedicated event manager oversees the day itself.
Ceremonies are held in the River Room, where period features are paired with views of the river, terrace and lawns.
Receptions are hosted in the Marquee on the upper terrace, offering space for your wedding breakfast and celebrations. When the River Room and Marquee are booked together, the restaurant is given over to you for the day.
Accommodation is offered in the riverside cottage Idle Waters, where views across the river make a calm backdrop for getting ready. Rooms are also available at Talbooth House and Spa, where guests can use bedrooms, a heated outdoor pool, a sauna, a hot tub, and spa treatment rooms. The whole house can be taken for a full weekend. Additional bedrooms and a brasserie are available at the sister property, Milsoms.
Food is given real focus at Talbooth, with menus shaped around good ingredients and different styles. Options range from fine dining to three-course meals to relaxed sharing dishes.
Transport is straightforward, with London Liverpool Street reachable by train.
