We want to say a very big thank you to you and all your staff at the hotel and spa for making our wedding such a very special occasion. The service was faultless, the staff charming and helpful, the food superb. We can not thank you all enough for making it such a special time. All our guests, particularly those that had stayed, all commented on the excellent quality all round.

Our stay at the hotel was so comfortable. What was also wonderful was the setting of the breakfast room the next day. Lovely!!

Just as a further note, we were so impressed with your masters of ceremony Mark. We could not have done without him. Also please thank Cat who was with us at the end of the evening and breakfast the next day. All your staff were just marvellous. All our guests have given us great feedback about the high quality service!

We’ve just had a wedding at South Lodge Hotel and it was the most amazing day in the most fantastic venue. Everything went perfectly and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

This was in part due to the fantastic staff that work at South Lodge. Their customer service skills are excellent and they ensure everyone is looked after at all times. A special mention has to go to Lindsey and Cat who arranged and organised our wedding to perfection. Lindsey kept us informed with every step of the proceedings from the first meeting until the wedding day and then Cat took over with the organisation on the day and made sure it went seamlessly. Both Lindsey and Cat are a pleasure to work with when planning a wedding and nothing was too much trouble for them. They made sure we had one of the best days of our lives.

Many thanks Lindsey for everything you have done for us. We a have a large table booked for NYE and are really looking forward to returning to South Lodge.

We had the most wonderful weekend celebrating our marriage. Great fun was had by all. I am so glad you were able to join us for the ceremony.

It has been an absolute pleasure working with you this year. We feel very lucky to have received your professional help and great experience in helping our day to be perfect. Lindsey, Cat and all the team at South Lodge will go out of their way to ensure that you both have the most amazing day. After a long year of cancellations and restrictions, we couldn’t have been more fortunate to have an amazingly devoted team behind us on our special day.

Lindsey was such a reassuring planner from start to finish, making sure that we were guided and looked after throughout the planning of our wedding. Although not there on the day, we were more than confident that Lindsey had put everything in place to ensure the day was unforgettable. Cat was our wedding coordinator on the big day and we were so lucky. She ensured that we were stress and worry free, safe in the knowledge that Cat and her team had it all under control.

We could not recommend South Lodge and all their staff enough for your wedding. The food, drink, service, AMAZING rooms, relaxing spa and all round, loving hospitality made it truly, the most perfect day! Thank you so much!

We had the most incredible day. It was absolutely perfect and it couldn’t have gone any better! We are extremely happy that we chose South Lodge as our venue.

Our guests were blown away by the venue and the facilities. The staff were fantastic! Cat and Mandy worked tirelessly in the background and all our guests commented on the service provided and how effortlessly they made the evening flow. They couldn’t do enough for us. The food was outstanding and loved by all! The room was set up beautifully. South Lodge staff made everyone feel like VIPs the entire stay and we wouldn’t have gotten this anywhere else. The time and effort you put into making our wedding so personal was hugely appreciated. Everything ran like clockwork and we were guided through the day so we could get the most time with our guests. Everyone was sad to be leaving the venue on Friday as we all had the time of our lives. We just can’t thank you enough.

Just try and keep us away from the hotel for our first anniversary! You will most definitely be seeing us!

Lindsey and Lizzie – thank you so much for guiding us through the process from start to finish. COVID-19 has certainly made things a bit more challenging but you did all you could to get us to our dream wedding day. You are both superstars!!

You and the entire South Lodge Hotel staff were beyond amazing, and we couldn’t have asked for a better staff to work with. You made everything so much easier for us, and it was truly a wonderful experience.

So, THANK YOU again for everything you did for myself.

Between when we had our first tour of the venue (on my birthday, which they presented a little birthday chocolate when they found out!), and the wedding itself, a year and a half later, we exchanged many emails with our wedding co-ordinator, Lindsey. She was always helpful and made sure that all the details were right for us and we had all the information that we needed to make the day go smoothly.

For the wedding itself, everything went very smoothly, thanks to Cat and the staff on the day, as well as our toastmaster Dan. All of the staff were very friendly and attentive to us and the guests. Even hotel staff who were not involved in the wedding made us feel special throughout the few days we were there, knowing who we were when going to reception for example. As we had various things to have setup, such as the cakes, confetti, favours and some decorations, we prepared a list of what should be done and go where, and everything was followed so that we didn’t have to do anything when we arrived. They even caught a mistake we made and put pens out for our table ice breakers for us, which we had forgotten about! Although a small thing, it shows that they are willing to go the extra mile to help.

The food was excellent, we had many compliments, and the chefs had gone above and beyond to cater for special dietary requirements – the options for vegetarians and vegans were also much more exciting and creative than some other places would have been! The rooms for people staying the night were also very good, and unique – everyone wanted to look at other people’s rooms to see what they had!

We would definitely recommend South Lodge!

A few stand out of thanks are deserved for Lindsey and the brilliant coordination and attention to detail. For Cat and everything on the day she did to ease the strain (and what a shift she did), thank you! But also to everyone at South Lodge. Everyone was brilliant, considerate, helpful and nothing was too much. So to all of the team, would you please pass on our thanks for making the day so special.

Thank you for an extraordinary, exceptional wedding. No words can express the professionalism, the warmth and kindness of all the staff. The impeccable attention to detail from all of you, We hadn’t need for any worry or concern, our every move was catered for.

My family from Norwich were mesmerised by their rooms and could not believe for such a stunning venue, how friendly and warming all staff were. Often in first class venues, it can feel a little pretentious, but not South Lodge.

The food was outstanding, Disraeli was beautiful and as a bride, I was so well cared for.

It went by in a flash and we would love to relive it all again. Dorrington photography and Lissy Florists, both recommendations from your wedding fayre were outstanding also. We could not have asked for a better day, despite Covid.

I thought I would check in with you to thank you and your team for arranging our wedding day so perfectly. We were both so pleased with the service we received from both yourself and the team that looked after us on the day. Everything ran like clockwork and we couldn’t have asked for anything more.
