Sopley Lake spans 25 acres on the edge of the New Forest, offering an exclusive and private space for marquee wedding receptions. This Dorset venue is surrounded by tranquil waters and open fields, creating a picturesque setting for an unforgettable celebration.

A private ceremony area sits on the edge of the lake, designed for wedding blessings. While not licensed for legal ceremonies, couples often complete the formalities at a local registry office before hosting a celebrant-led blessing or a family-led ceremony here.

The venue offers exclusive use of its grounds from Friday evening to Sunday morning, allowing couples to create a bespoke celebration. Marquee setup begins as early as Thursday morning, and other suppliers have access from Friday. Each wedding is tailored to the couple’s unique vision, with a range of options to suit different styles, tastes, and budgets.

Included features:

• Exclusive use of the field and lake.
• Marquee access from Thursday at 9am.
• Fire pit with seating, including kindling and logs.
• Band or DJ from 7-11pm.
• Acoustic guitarist around the campfire from 11pm to midnight.

The venue includes charming on-site accommodations:

• Shepherd Hut (sleeps 4).
• Log Cabin (sleeps 2).
• Pod (sleeps 2).

Guests may also bring tents or camper vans for an additional fee.

Couples have complete freedom to choose their catering and bar services. A recommended supplier list is available but not mandatory. Popular choices include street food vans, BBQs, and sharing platters, which complement the relaxed outdoor atmosphere by the lake.
